This was our first camping (tent) experience and we are so glad we chose this spot. We were able to drive right into our site, and there was only one other camper family there that night, so we had a decent distance between us, but with the comfort of knowing there were other humans around :) Staying on a working ranch was a dream—going to sleep to the sounds of horses and waking up to the rooster was a delight. The owners even brought out a fire pit for us ahead of our arrival which was generous. Port-a potty was clean, and the land provided the perfect morning stroll. The horses came right up to us for a nice long pet, which was amazing for us horse lovers! We did run into the barns head security (the dog) in the middle of the night who was rightfully very protective (as a heads up for those bringing their pups that may not be OK with an off leash dog), but he kept specifically to the barn area. Highly recommend this spot for anyone, but is great for beginner campers!
