100% of recent Hipcampers say the sites felt private.
This property was settled by the Irish in the mid 1800’s. Originally inhabited by Algonquin peoples the land was cleared for farming and they erected several building including a large German style hand hewn timber frame barn which still stands and is used today. The farm house was built in the 1910 and the original log cabins have been reframed into artistic buildings. It is wild to look around and imagine what life was like before now in a time when the land had no boundry lines and was traversed by indigenous peoples of this area. We have a great respect for those who have walked before us and a deep sense of gratitude for being here today.

This is a beautiful place to camp. Abby is so welcoming and did everything to make this a wonderful place to stay. The gem cutting experience was so much fun my son loved it and Abby was so eager to share and teach it made for a memorable experience.
Me and my two kids (8 and 13) had an amazing time at Abby’s farm! The land was beautiful, with endless spaces to explore. The campsite was magical - tucked away beside a pond and with amenities of an outdoor kitchen and sauna. And the animal residents - a dog, two cats, two horses, a roosters and a flock of chickens - were a delight!
We signed up for the jewellery making and had the best time. Abby was so patient in teaching us how to use the tools. Both kids got right into it and were so proud of the pieces they made.
As for the hostess, Abby is gracious and kind, and always making sure her guests are well accommodated.
I had such a lovely experience at the farm. Abby is a wonderful host with so much wisdom and knowledge to share. The land is incredibly peaceful, with some very unique attributes. I loved learning about rock cutting/polishing and experiencing the sauna. I will definitely be back :)
We unfortunately had to change our travel plans at the very last minute (torrential rain) and couldn't stay with Abby at the Artfarm, but we hope to in the future!
Amazing place and amazing host. Thank you Abby for an unforgettable time!
