40 acres of off grid property in the monteagle valley. We live year round on the property, growing food, tending the apple orchard, and wild foraging. Campsites nestled in the woods with lots of trails to explore. Less than 2 minute drive to Salmon Trout Lake or 15 minutes to Papineau Beach or Fosters Beach, both great for kids. Great area for canoeing, hiking and fishing. 15 minutes from Maynooth and Bancroft, 30 minutes to Algonquin Park. Queer and 420 friendly.Fall 2024 update. New 24x12 covered tarp at the site. Escape the rain, enough space to set up your tent under the tarp, hang out at the picnic table, walk around. Don't have to worry about your trip being marred by rain. This is a gorgeous time to come visit. The leaves are changing, lakes and rivers are quiet for paddling, studio tour is going on. Come and escape in the hemlock grove. Super private, you'll be the only ones at the site. Overlooking Salmon Trout lake, with views to the west for perfect sunsets every night and a hill to the east for shady mornings. Enjoy days exploring and evenings at the camp fire Camp site features a fire pit with chairs, raised counter top for cooking and food prep, one of the nicest outhouses you'll ever see, a line to hang your wet bathing suits and a five foot picnic table. You'll have the whole site to yourself. Spend your days relaxing here or go explore all the local lakes, rivers, farmers markets and antique shops.

Property is quiet and peaceful with a panoramic view of rolling treed landscape and Lake to the West. It's a great spot for drycamping.

Birthday Camping!

We absolutely loved this spot! Very private so our pups could be off leash the whole time. Having a tarp already set up was a blessing as we didn't have to struggle with our own. Sean was very friendly and extremely helping with any questions we had! He also went above and beyond to send us all the things to do around us like antiques and cafes. The town near by is very cute and the bakery is unbelievably good. All in all would recommend this place and Sean as a host any day!

Fantastic spot, Sean was super welcoming and friendly, and it was great getting a tour of amazing off grid life they have there! Campsite was very private, felt deep in the woods, the first extra shelter was great for any rain, but still very close to town if need be, and phone signal was still great for me if needed. HIGHLY recommend

Private forest getaway
Tent
My dog & I had a lovely labour day weekend at Hemlock Ridge! The site is huge, extremely private, and I had no trouble driving the trail in my little car. Sean communicated well leading up to and during our stay, and gave great local recommendations for things to do. The lake is a short drive or decent walk to the end of the dirt road, and the boat launch was perfect for a quick dip. Sean had setup a big tarp over the picnic table and a tent spot which came in handy when it rained on the last night. I would definitely recommend this site for those looking for a private getaway into the woods 🏕🌲🌌 thanks again Sean!
