This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive. The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items but the gift shop is stocked with camping supplies, as well. Variety of small wildlife in the area. All sites allow campfires UNLESS we are under a county wide burn ban.

This was a great weekend getaway with my children! It had a nice playground, and the trails were challenging yet manageable for the kids. The facilities were kept clean and nice, and the staff were friendly.
This is a beautiful location and the view is stunning. The campsite store is amazing and has so many great finds. We appreciated the great bathrooms and shower house. Everything is located conveniently and we loved the layout of everything on the campsite as well. Very well lit paths and they were very accommodating whenever we requested to move to a spot that was a better shelter from the winds since the weather ended up being very windy for our stay. We will def be back to stay in #2 in the future though because that view is fantastic! We were able to enjoy the sunset views before camping out in our tent on site #4.
We just spent the weekend in campsite #7. We had such a great time! I’ve already picked out my ideal spot for next time. The gift shop was very impressive. My daughter got a bear head lamp and wanted to thank you for helping her. We will be back.
