Experience the rhythm of the Smoky Mountains in our super comfortable glamping site. You will need an all wheel drive vehicle to access this secluded mountain retreat (our Honda CR-V does great). Located on a 30 acre eco-preserve, amazing views, outdoor shower in a treehouse, private bathroom and too many amenities to mention. Kitchen, bedding and towels included for 4/5 people.Enjoy glamping in a completely set up green/healthy built, solar powered TearDrop trailer on a Smoky Mountains eco preserve. Built in kitchen and private outdoor room with a view nestled in the deep forest, a great base camp for all things Smokies. An all wheel drive vehicle is highly suggested, our road is a gravel mountain road and a bit steep in places. A Subaru or Honda, ect does great.

Flush toilet. We have changed our sites so no one has to share a toilet with other campers.

Pets allowed

On leash. Well behaved pets are allowed but not inside. We have a gentle giant white Akbash Hound which watched out for everything and must be allowed to roam, she is great with other pets and humans but keeps large forest animals away. You may hear her barking a bit..........but it's better then the bears!

Potable water available

Spigot, hose, pump or well, bottled water or jugs. While we do have spring water, we suggest folks bring their own water for drinking, especially if you are not accustomed to "living water". Your gut may not be use to it.

Showers available

Hot water . Awesome outdoor shower in a treehouse with a view. While it is shared with 2 other sites, it is in the full sun which kills viruses and we put a sprayer with sanitizer in it you can use it before your shower.

Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin

Cooking equipment present

Bbq. Gas stove, charcoal grill and fire pit with grate. Kitchen is stocked with essential pots, pans and silverware, etc.

The Little Sundrop campsite is an absolute gem! The site is in a private, remote location but only a short 20-minute drive to Bryson City. The teardrop camper comfortably sleeps two people and includes a tiny yet well stocked kitchen and solar power. The site also features a large tent with two cots, a screened room with table and chairs, and a fire pit with gorgeous views. The host, Duke, was very friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to talk to! Our favorite parts of our stay: the amazing views from the hot outdoor treehouse shower and the morning visits with Frankie, Duke's dog. We highly recommend this camping site and hope to return again.

Nice private area with convenience of hot shower and flushable toilet. We chose to sleep in tent as teardrop sleeping space is small for two people. 15min to Bryson City and convenient to Deep Creek area of Smokey Mountains National Park.

Little Sundrop, Big Relaxation!

This is a great location -- remote enough that you're not listening to traffic noise off in the distance but still only 20 minutes from Bryson City if you want to drive into town for a meal. Lots of great trailheads and hiking nearby. The Little Sundrop site is clean, well organized, and entirely covered by a tin roof structure, which is very relaxing and peaceful if you should happen to get a little rain. The trailer has a well-equipped kitchen setup with stove and sink, pots, pans, cooking utensils. There is a large tent with two sturdy cots, and a screened room for bug-free meal time. Duke is a great host and this is a nice little getaway for restful camping without the hassle of tent setup/takedown.

With kids

I loved this location. It was very private but had all the amenities we were looking for. My daughter loved the teardrop and the game table. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature is amazing. The host was so pleasant and shares with us his favorite trails and falls to visit which did not disappoint.
