A private setting on 5 acres. Hudson River access with a dock for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. West River road is a favorite route amongst cyclists. Sunsets from the river and the property are epic. RV site is 50 ft in length with additional parking, includes water, sewer, 50amp hookup and fire place. Friendly dogs are welcome. Must be watched and under control. Homeowner and dog on premises.Location is 20 minutes from Lake George and Saratoga. Enjoy the Saratoga Race Track and downtown night life. Go for a cruise on Lake George at the steam boat company, shopping at the outlets or hike the southern Adirondack’s. The possibility’s are endless. The Hudson River provides fishing of all kinds. The River connects to the canal system it can be traveled by boat to lake Champlain or NYC. There are also many historical sites to visit while visiting the area. Water on site is treated sulfur water from a Culligan treatment system. Please bring drinking water. It is the same water used throughout the residence and occasionally can have a sulfer smell if it requiring maintenance.

This campsite offers a well-maintained, large space with full hookups and is big rig friendly. It's situated near the Hudson River, providing picturesque views and fishing opportunities right across the road. While many campers appreciated the amenities and convenience, some noted issues with the water supply, mentioning a strong sulfur smell. Additionally, communication with the host has been inconsistent due to notification issues.

Really nice large campsite, extremely well-maintained, host is super accommodating. Full hookups so nice to have, & it’s big rig friendly. On a good sized parcel of land right next to the Hudson River. I have really enjoyed staying here in my motor home.

No potable water on site.

We felt the title was a bit misleading. It mentions the site has full hookups but you have the read the listing detail page to learn there is no potable water. We didn't plan ahead and had no fresh water, as we assumed we could fill our tank at the site. The site owner also didn't get back to us until we were leaving after our 2nd nite on site as he's having issues with his Hipcamp notifications.

This was a site with real possibilities. There was a fire pit and a great view across a pasture and across the road was a branch of the Hudson that offered great fishing opportunities. But, I was right next to his house. It was fine for me because he was away, but it could have been uncomfortable if he were home. I don’t know. Also, he did not know I was coming. He said the Hipcamp portal changed and he is no longer notified when people are camping on his site. HIpCamp, if that is true, you need to fix that pronto. I don’t like coming up to someone’s house without them knowing I have booked a night there.

Nice spot on West River Rd
27 ft travel trailer · With pets
We enjoyed staying two nights at Joshua's spot while visiting family nearby. The RV pad is next to the driveway/garage with full hook ups which was super convenient. The well maintained site has Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. West River Road is lovely. Maybe next time we'll bring our bikes and more time to enjoy the river from the dock across the road. As Joshua mentions in the listing, the water was hard, has a strong sulfur smell. Recommend bringing a filter wherever you go. We used an inline filter, completely took care of it. Happy Travels
