Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Moreau Lake State Park adventure.
This popular park is a hit during hot summer days in upstate New York.
Moreau in New York state features nature hiking and cross country skiing, as well as water activities. People come from Saratoga Springs and Albany to splash in the cool waters of Moreau Lake. The best part is that the park rents out beach umbrellas, lounges and fishing gear. That way, you have more cooler space in your car.
BYOB (bring your own boat) and paddle to one of three small, peaceful lakes. Cast your line to catch dinner for later. More than 20 miles of hiking trails take you through hilly country. The most spectacular views happen right along the iconic Hudson River to the west. Fall time lends to spectacular foliage on the trees. Winter turns the lakes to ice and the hiking trails into skiing or snowmobile paths.
Because of the lake's popularity, there are 148 campsites. Reserve yours early if you're traveling during summer months.
