Ray and Lucille's campsite offers a peaceful countryside retreat with a personal touch. Guests appreciate the easy access, full hookups, and the quiet, serene setting amidst pecan orchards. Many reviews highlight the warmth and helpfulness of the hosts, adding to the inviting atmosphere. However, some visitors noted challenges with maneuvering larger trailers and occasional mosquito presence after rains.
The location was easy to get to and just far enough from the freeway for a very quiet, relaxing evening. Ray has the 2 spots set up very nice and we were perfectly level with no blocks. My wife and I were able to enjoy a nice walk on the quiet country road at sunset.
Love this place !! So pretty, QUIET and serene in the pecan orchard. : )
Lucille and Ray were both present when I pulled onto the property, and welcomed me with big smiles. Ray suggested the best way to get into site 2 and showed me the hookups. Which look brand new, everything functioning as it should. I had to extend my stay a couple of times due to weather passing through the area, they were very kind about the situation.
Something I will keep in mind, site 1, I think, would be best in the cold months, you get more evening sun and you are protected from cold East wind. Site 2 perfect for warmer months with the shade from the pine trees and their RV cover. Love this place !!
They were courteous, and helpful even though I never stayed there
