A wonderful cabin for family groups and friends to gather. This cabin sits on 206 acres of forest and meadow with no neighbours and yet only 1.5 miles from the quaint mountain town of Polebridge. The cabin is accessed by its own 0.25 miles gravel driveway surrounded by 2 million acres of National Forest with Unforgettable views into Glacier National Park. There is so much to do here for all ages, Hike on the property, sit on the porches and admire the view, raft , fish or kayak the North Fork of the Flathead. Take trips into Glacier National Park we are only 2.5 miles from the North Fork Park Entrance (shorter if you walk) with access to Bowman and Kintla Lakes and miles of trails. It is a 40 minute beautiful drive to Apgar to the start of the Going to the Sun road. Polebridge is a lively mountain outpost with a famous bakery, pizza and equipment rentals. The Northern Lights Saloon and Home Ranch Bottoms (5 miles away) often have live music in the summer months.This is an off the grid property with 1 cabin and 2 tents available for your private use. Remote and situated in a forest with no neighbours offering incredible views of the Glacier National Park and amazing dark skies. The cabin is cozy with a large wood stove and propane heat. It has everything you need (except a dishwasher) and a table for 14. There is a full bathroom on each floor, with one downstairs bedroom (queen plus fold out twin) and master bedroom (king) and walk thru ( daybed and trundle) upstairs . Porches with amble seating on both floors. There is an additional sleep cabin that sleeps 3 but no bathroom 30 yards from main cabin. This has a European wood stove and great views into the Park. There is a secret kiddies hangout upstairs good for kids up to 5 years old. There is a huge fire pit, observatory and historic cabin (undergoing restoration) on site. There are 2, 12" x 14' canvas glamping tents, close to the cabin and fire pit, each sleeps 2 to 4 with comfy beds, duvets, cotton sheets and towels with use of outhouse and hot outdoor shower. The Glamping tents are available for groups of over 7 and are an additional $50/night/each plus a $15 cleaning fee billed separately. There is a second fridge and storage in the garage where outdoor games, bbq and inflatable kayaks can be found. This is an incredible destination for multi generational families, or friends to gather and explore the Park and this beautiful part of NW Montana. The cabin has many maps and guidebooks and we can help with trip planning if you wish. Please inquire before you book as tents are not available in the winter months.
