Exactly as the host described is how I found the camp spot. Aspens were nice with a breeze. Minimal insects. Town had live music until after dark, dogs barking, and neighbors being loud. Not the host's fault, but for almost $100 per night it took away from the mountain experience.

I chose this campsite specifically because it was advertised as "very private and secluded", however the cabins on either side of the campsite mentioned in the listing are much closer than expected. The images shown in the listing are a bit misleading as they don't show how you are able to be seen through the trees from other cabins from every single spot in this campsite. It also doesn't show how close the site is to the road. It is very close to the road and all cars driving by can easily see into the campsite. We had neighbor kids running around and being very loud past 11pm. I would suggest looking at the address in google maps first to see if it is secluded enough for you. The "provided firewood" consisted of one log chopped into 4 pieces, so plan on having to buy your own at the Mercantile. There was also one gallon of water provided. The outhouse was nice and had instructions on how to use the composting toilet, toilet paper was provided.

September 22 & 23, 2023. Great Location & Advertising! But…. The elevated deck for the tent, is a nice concept however; animals can nest under the deck which our dog was keen on. It’s actually very hard to put a tent on. There are no eye hooks anywhere so you just throw your tent down on the platform without staking/tying down. Amenities listed ‘fire wood supplied’ however there was none anywhere to be found. We were very fortunate that the owners at the Mercantile made us a last minute bundle before the closed for $17! The compost toilet outhouse door was left open, so there were leaves, rodent droppings and cobwebs everywhere. Spent some time cleaning that up, only to see we are supplied with a 1/3 roll of TP for 2 nights. There was water container supplied however unsure of how old it was, just used it to put out fires. I put up trail cams as security for my campsite and caught someone walking through our site, on & over the deck and past our tent. The audacity of people! Two rickety Adirondack chairs, and 4 other steel rusted chairs are also supplied. I mean, Great Location, but for $99/night there are numerous free dispersed camping areas just down the road.

The location was beautiful. I’ve never seen aspen so big. I would have tried the shower but it was a little too cold. Wasn’t keen on the composting toilet but I understand the reasoning. The advertising was spot on. Thank you
