Beautiful Rustic Camping
Beautiful forested property in the woods not too far off I70 yet feels very remote. The road was as described and definitely requires AWD or 4x4. The tent campsite I used is near the house but private. Claire was friendly and a very nice host. There is a small stream nearby for exploring. Great place to relax, with communal fire pit and sitting area near the garden. I’d definitely stay here again.

Magical!
My partner and I brought our two children (4YO & 9YO) and had a magical time! We would love to go back. We set up tent and walked down the creek. There was some natural clay in the waterbed so we lathered ourselves in a mask (so fun and nice!) then jumped in the swimming hole down the way to rinse it off. The water is all from a spring so fresh and cold. We used the jacuzzi and set up a campfire for s’mores. There an amazing garden and butterfly habitat out there. It is beautiful to see the pollinators in action! Claire has extensive knowledge of the local flora and it was nice to get a little tour. She gave us privacy but was super friendly and welcoming. We even got coffee and smoothies in the morning! Seriously, such a wonderful time out there. Couldn’t recommend more!

White Deer Camp and Lodge
We loved our stay at White Deer Camp! Claire went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our visit and we really appreciated having such a thoughtful and kind host. The property itself is incredibly beautiful with a creek running through it as well as woods everywhere. There is a variety of locations you can set up your tent and all of them were beautiful-but we loved setting our tent up in a campsite that was a little more secluded in the woods. It was perfect and it felt very private as well! There is also a fire pit available, some seating areas to sit around with friends, and even a hot tub that you are welcome to use-this location seriously has so much to offer! Definitely go check it out, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it! :)

White Deer Camp and Lodge
Our trip to White Deer Camp and Lodge to watch the solar eclipse was absolutely wonderful! The property is a nice tucked away haven with a butterfly garden, campfire pit and everything else you would need wilderness retreat. Claire is an incredibly kind and accommodating host and made sure we had everything we needed from helping getting our gear to camp, to providing refreshments and glasses for eclipse viewing! Definitely recommend!
