Our house is on 3 wooded acres and there is a fire/bonfire pit and a clearing for tents.
It is on a short road off highway 109. So, you both feel secluded and have easy access to activities (30 minutes from downtown St. Louis).
We have a large driveway for parking. It is a short walk down a hill and across a bridge to the camping site. The site is surrounded by trees, so there is plenty of shade. The ground there is flat.
There is lots of hiking nearby: Al Foster trail, Rockwood Reservation, etc. Just minutes from Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Less than 15 minutes from Six Flags. A little over 30 minutes from downtown (Arch, zoo, Cardinals, Blues, etc.)
