The location is perfect and was a great introduction to camping for my partner and son. They loved it. The animals were out to play at night and the reactions were priceless!!! My son would howl with the coyotes and my boyfriend was nervous but excited.
My friend’s daughter, Alina really wanted to experience her first camping, and this was a beautiful, easy, safe space for my friend, Pabitra and I to bring our kids! Alina loved the style of the bathrooms and they are clean! There were a couple other quiet campers so it felt safe and the kids could go explore the woods on the property. We biked from the campground through a beautiful shaded path in Glendalough to a beach on Annie Battle where we played and relaxed for hours. My daughter and I went for an early morning walk down the road. We did some cooking on the campfire/ using the outdoor dishwashing sink near restrooms. We went out for ice cream at Granny’s Pantry and ate pizza and nachos lakeside at Zorbaz. We also checked out the public beach and playground on Battle Lake. It was a good bonding time and enough space for the kids to have some freedom to roam. - thanks! Leah, Bennett, Reagan, Alina, and Pabitra.
Heidi provided us with an exceptional experience. The bathroom/shower building is beautiful and the amenities are plentiful. The state park with all its lakes and trails is right next door. We highly recommend staying here.
Within close proximity to lakes and to town. The site was large enough for our 16ft ice castle and boat with 2 vehicles. All guests were respectful. This is the type of place you go to for relaxation. No parties or loud music. Just enjoy the outdoors. I loved that the most about this place. The bathrooms were beautiful. Nice touch of home as well as centrally located for all the sites. The campsites arent labeled , but the host is quick to respond. Heidi also offered input on local "to-do's" which I thought was a special touch. We stayed at site 1 which had some obstacles to getting our ice castle in due to some low lying branches. But all in all, this place is a gem. I wish I was the only one who knew about it because it almost seems too good to be true.
This was a great tent site within biking distance of the state park and the town of Battle Lake. The sites are spacious, the bathroom was very clean and the shower was hot. I'd definitely stay here again.
