Perfect Spot
19 ft travel trailer · With pets
Great private spot with great views of the lake. This is the kind of camping I envisioned when I bought a camper. Sit back and watch the eagles fish and the deer stroll down the beach. 10/10.

Gorgeous view and nice setting; we had a lovely time. Hosts are very understanding and accommodating. We took our first trip after having a new baby here and it was the right amount of wilderness. Note that It’s not quite as private as we thought; there are houses on both sides of the lot, but it is definitely still a natural environment. We saw a juvenile fox and a lot of bird life during our stay. If you’re towing a trailer be prepared to navigate tight corners and a steep drive. There is no pull through so the wiggle room for parking error is pretty non existent. We tow a 22ft off road trailer and struggled; the best path is probably to back in down the hill and exit pulling up.

Best of the Best!
21 ft travel trailer
We had the most amazing stay at North Bay Hideaway. The site was breathtakingly gorgeous and included water, electric and sewage hookup, as well as a great picnic table, a large cement pad to park our camper on, a big, deep fire pit surrounded by a wooden deck, and obviously that spectacular view. The property is extremely private and the only things we saw and heard during our week stay were the deer, foxes, cranes, and eagles that frequented the property and the beach. Holly and Todd had a welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived, which even included treats for our dogs! They made sure that we had every single thing we needed. The site is centrally located between all of the U.P.’s must see destinations. We will definitely be going back to the North Bay Hideway as soon as we can!

Rare and beautiful spot. We got there in time for sunset over the lake which was spectacular. Left just after sunrise the next morning. Water hookup was great quality water. Was quick and easy for an overnight stop. Would be great to spend the whole day there.
