Great spot
With pets
Great spot with a wonderful creek full of fun animals (we caught frogs, crayfish, minnows and worms and saw dragonflies, lightning bugs and water skimmers). Great flat spot for our tent and it was so nice to let our dogs run loose. Very little traffic on the road - quiet and peaceful.

Great little hangout spot
Really enjoyed the site. Easy to get to and feels surprisingly remote to be so close to a paved road and about 2 miles from a neighborhood. If you follow the creek out back you can get in a decent little hike. We stayed on a 34 degree winter night, but the fire pit and included wood kept us nice and toasty. The grill was awesome to have so we could pack in steaks in the cooler. The silo itself blocked the wind so inside our Army sleeping bags it was not too cold. We also set up a sheet and projector with 550 cord to watch movies and play video games at night. Be sure to bring lanterns for the silo, it's pretty dark in there even during daytime. And our blow up sleeping mats under our bags were key given the cold concrete pad. Only downside at all was we couldn't figure out how to get inside the outhouse, we did find a key in a lockbox but it didn't seem to fit. But it was a dudes trip so we were fine.

Camping in a silo!
With pets
We always look for fun camping trips with the kids. We had a short time for an overnight stay and found this place. We didn’t even need to unpack our tents; we slept in the silo with two of our kids. Our teenager slept in the covered hammock just outside. The little kids and our dogs loved the seesaw bridge. We loved the seclusion. There’s a road but it’s not busy at all. There were a couple planes. But mostly just the sounds of nature. We also loved the Adirondack chairs and the fire pit. There was also a grill and firewood readily available. Definitely planning to come back again.

We had a great evening on this property. There's ample camping under shade, the fire pit is very nice and well stocked, and it's neat to be next to the creek (though we weren't bold enough to try to figure out see-sawing the aluminum dock to get down to the water). The grain bin is a neat touch, and though we found it echo-y and it's concrete floor very hard to sleep on, the appeal of it in the rain might be higher. Note for campers looking for complete privacy, while there's a fence and a field separating the campsite from the road, there's still a direct sight line from drivers and bikers. Still a LOT more privacy than a state campground or something similar.

Group trip
Peter's camp site is magical. We took our 6 year old on his first camping trip here and it exceeded our expectations. It was private and secluded, yet close enough to town. The see saw bridge, grain silo and creek were enough for our child's imagination to run wild for a life time. We saw owls and other beautiful birds on the property and tons of flickering fire flies. The provided fire wood was an extra special treat. The camp site was well maintained and clean. Our family will definitely be back!
