Skip the Canadienne Tent for Fall
Overall, we had an okay experience at Huttopia. It definitely could have been better. We booked the Canadienne tent, which I did not know at the time is literally the only type of lodging at Huttopia that does not have its own bathroom. I am not opposed to using a bath house by any means, but this bath house was open-air at the top and quite chilly in the fall weather. Not only that, but there was not hot water so taking a shower was either a miserable experience or just not possible. When I have glamped elsewhere, part of the allure is that you get an actual bed. While the pictures may show a bed, this did not have an actual mattress and was one of the most uncomfortable and lumpy sleeping experiences I have ever had. The tent did had a little heater, but it could only be turned on for up to 30 minutes at a time. I think if you can sleep under any conditions or are just going in the summer, this is a good place to book. However, we will be unlikely to return. If we do visit Huttopia in the future, I will make sure to book a tent that has its own bathroom (if in fall weather) and one of the few tents that has a real mattress.
