My husband, Jason and I would love to host you on our farm in Winchester Ky! We have 4 themed campers and 2 primitive tent sites. Two things we can promise are inexpensive prices and an unique experience! Come visit the home of Kentucky’s soft drink-ALE81! Only 35 miles from Natural Bridge/Red River Gorge!
The experience was okay especially since it was so close to town, yet still had that rural feel! Unfortunately our stay had a few stink bugs and spiders living in the camper. They were in the sheets that I grabbed out of the cabinet (which were unfolded, so I wasn’t sure if they were clean or not). The water that feeds the faucet was no big deal being non-potable, but it was not really clean either. It came from an open rain drum that had a metal screen laying on top, not flat or closed all of the way. There was all sorts of leaf bits floating around, and it being still water in the open poses a few health concerns if interacting with open wounds. I got an infection in my piercing after taking a shower in the water. The water we were cleaning with was not clear and a bit turbid, so we tried our best to clean with what clean water we had in hand. It would be nice and not too difficult if a particulate filtration system was installed. I also fell through the bench in the front of the camper, but that wasn’t really anyone’s fault.
The beary cozy camper was very cute though! The pac-man arcade was a huge hit with me and my boyfriend. The beds weren’t too bad either, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you are tall. This is a good place to stay if it’s for a night or two with friends.
I Love Lucy was a beautiful camping experience. We were able to stay in the A/C when it was too hot. The views were breathtaking- especially at night when the stars were out! The vintage camper is small- so expect to actually camp- and utilize the fantastic outdoor space. There’s a HUGE picnic table, fire pit; charcoal grill, and several outdoor games to enjoy. Things are simple, but beautiful here. We spent five days here and never once turned on the TV, we had that much fun enjoying the space Natalie has provided! We will most certainly be back!
