This property has been the pride and joy of John T and his dad, John Sr for nearly 40 years. They have been maintaining and preserving this natural habitat of native Florida vegetation. The majestic Live Oaks living on this property are hundreds of years old and covered in resurrection fern. This property is also the home of sand hill cranes, wild turkey, owls and a variety of wild life. John T is born and raised in this part of Florida and an avid lover of all things natural, organic and historic. If you have any questions about the area or suggestions where to seek out great fishing and hiking, John T is happy to accommodate!
The campsite offers a peaceful retreat with expansive open fields and secluded sites, making it ideal for those seeking solitude. Many visitors appreciated the natural beauty, with opportunities for stargazing and exploring the trails. Some noted the proximity to a road, which brought occasional noise, but this didn't significantly detract from their experience. While most reviews praised the privacy and scenery, a few mentioned challenges with communication and site maintenance.
Very private, all to ourselves. Nice walking trails. Beautiful view. A little road noise, we knew that from last time & don't mind it for all the other nicce things. No amenities, perfect for boondockers!
Me and my Son experience was excellent we were the only one there and nobody bothered us the whole time. It was a great experience and definitely will be back. Thank you John T for letting us camp.
The site was beautiful! We only spent one night. The downside was the road noise nearby. It may have only been our site because I think it’s the closest to the road. Otherwise it was a beautiful place and we had a great time.
The view across the tall grass field between the oaks & pine forest was stunning. We lucked out & were the only campers for our 4 days & nights (Sunday-Thursday). Complete privacy, beautiful areas to walk. There is a bit noise from the nearby road but not enough to detract. It was our 1st trip in our new RV, only 3 hours from home so that we could get to know our rig without worry. Exceeded our expectations! There are no hookups or other amenities which is what we wanted - to test reliance on our rig & selves. GREAT!!!
It seemed my group and I were the only ones on the land which was nice, only noise was from the road pretty close by - not bad. The directions weren’t as cut and dry as I thought, it’s a little hard to find which site you’re going to as there’s not a lot of visible signage so I’d definitely arrive during the day. The host didn’t answer any of my messages but there were no resulting issues. Overall had an awesome time!!
