Lynn and her husband were lovely hosts. Very friendly, helpful, and flexible. The property is charming and the shower is perfectly hot. There is a rooster there so if you’re a light sleeper don’t sleep next to the coop.
Would recommend though otherwise
Our very first HipCamp experience was at the Artists Nature Retreat. We were just thrilled with everything about it! The land was quintessential old rural Florida with a lovely trail surrounded by old Oak trees and birdsong. Lynn and David were exceptionally kind and attentive, the bathroom facilities were charming, and our site was quite private. We plan to visit again soon to continue our exploration of the Gainesville area.
This peaceful space under arching tree branches is both so set apart in atmosphere and so nearby sites of interest it is unlike other camp choices you may have!
Lovely rustic quiet campground. I was able to have my family there for a cookout campfire. Huge dog park. Very shady, lots of birds, We kept adding more days. We were disappointed the bathrooms were broken. Lucky our rv has a toilet and shower. We definitely will be back again. Thank you so much.
