Learn more about this land:
Hi there! We are very new to this but willing to learn quickly. We look forward to hosting campers on our property as long as you are respectful of our land we should have a great experience.
We are a private family and keep to ourselves. While you are on the land we will not interact unless you’d like that.
The 2 acre land for camping is separated from our homestead by a cattle fence and gate.
We gladly offer fresh water from our well daily just bring a container(s). We have fresh eggs from our chickens we are willing to share as well. We also from time to time have fresh fruit and veggies from th garden that we would be more than happy to share.
The closest market is located about 5 to 6 miles away, local grocery stores about 10. On the camping land we have trees, a large pecan tree and a few others for shade, laying in th hammock an relaxing.
We have a large wood play set with swings and a slide for the children to enjoy, a 14’ trampoline and we also provide a campfire space for roasting your marshmallows and such. We have 3 outdoor toilets and 2 outdoor sinks. We can provide a portable outdoor shower if needed. No extra fee.
We also can provide an outdoor pool big enough for a few adults and a few children, all that we require is that you empty it and clean it out before you leave.
You may experience our chickens, cats and goat. They’re all friendly and harmless.
Please feel free to ask questions and we are more than willing to consider any special requests.
Sophiah’s field has a beautiful old tree to camp near. In the morning, chickens came to greet my partner & we got to say hello to her nanny goat. Her garden at the residence reminded us of ours at home. We felt very comfortable and safe here.
Great spot, kind host. We were greeted in the morning by a delightful little flock of friendly chickens and enjoyed a brief visit with the goat who is a sweetheart.
We had a great time camping here. Great space, fun "neighbors" (there were chickens wandering around and a goat nearby) nice place to relax and have a fire. We also went hiking at the Little Manatee River state park, which is about 2 miles away.
Sophiah is a gracious and attentive host and a wonderful communicator. The property was just as described, a small farm lot with a playground, trees, hammock, firepit, chickens (free range) and a goat (in a shelter). Fresh eggs were available in the morning which made our pancakes amazing. We requested the use of her portable shower which she graciously provided with the pop-up shelter and flooring. It was a wonderful experience.
So peaceful. The chickens on the farm were awesome, friendly neighbors...and Sophia was a great communicator and friendly. I'm so relaxed from doing NOTHING ;) and will definitely visit again. THANK YOU
I very much enjoyed my 2 days on Sophiah's land. Very peaceful with only sounds of the chickens in the goat. Which which I enjoyed as a former Midewesterner.
