Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Very private woods, gardens, and an aquifer-fed pond teeming with wildlife. A short walk to the park on Choctawhatchee Bay. The water is calm for swimming and paddling. A short drive or bike ride to the finest beaches in the world. The nearby 331 bridge allows freedom from the tourist traffic on Hwy 98. There are just two campsites overall and they are in the shade. Kids are safe to explore our long dead-end road with only two neighbors at the end.Two tent sites and one small camper site with access to the trailer bathroom. We have clear aquifer water and limited solar power for phones, computers, and fans. A short walk to the bay or nearby federal, state, and local parks to roam. The Eden Gardens @ Pt. Washington and Topsail Hill Beach are really amazing for nature lovers. The beachside towns have live music and restaurants. Look up and visit southWalton.com for inspiration Parents, there is no charge for kids. Adults are limited to two per site, I am learning from experience how to make your stay more comfortable.

Good Tent camp, Not a good RV camp.
25 ft campervan · With pets
Mark was kind and friendly but the property was not as expected. We have stayed at many state parks and hip camps and filter results by the things we require. Basically an outlet to run our AC and small fridge in our converted mini bus. A public shower and toilet, as our bus has no facilities onboard. I messaged Mark beforehand to let him know I have a 17' boat I wanted to bring with us. Upon arriving the property was much smaller than expected, the pictures made it look larger with more privacy. We had to park our boat in a vacant lot that looked like someone was clearing about 200 yards from his place. Mark offered to move his SUV so we could park right off the street and in front of his boat renovation project. We had drove 6 hours to get there so we headed out to grab a bite. We returned after dark and the extension cord Mark left out was not plugged in. I found Mark and he asked if "would we need it all night". He had a small Jackery type power box and asked if this would work. I told him I had a similar one to run the Fridge but it wouldn't run the AC. There is no power at the site other than a 3500 watt generator. It also feeds power to his shop/office and a travel trailer he sleeps in which is also the public shower and bathroom facilities. We plugged into the generator and the power went on and off several times and then shut down entirely. 90+ degree temps make AC mandatory and we had to drive back home that night and got back at 5am. Tent camp OK, RV no bueno.

Staying on Mark's property was a delight. The location was close to the beaches and all the hustle & bustle of the city but still felt like you were camping deep in the woods. Mark was very friendly and made us feel very welcome as he worked on restoring his beautiful wooden boat. Highly recommend

You'll find quiet serenity in a beautiful undeveloped area. Mark is a knowledgeable host with miles of seafaring yarns to share. Much is changing in the region but here is a remaining sense of what it always has been - a remote and rustic outpost at the edge of paradise.

It was close to the beach and state parks. I don’t think Mark was expecting us do the listing was a little different than expected but we still had a great time and Mark was very kind and generous.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay. We needed a last minute spot to pop up our tent and Mark was was happy to have us! He has a great little piece of land and a very friendly dog. I would highly recommend staying here! Thank you, Mark!
