Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Kiowa Kabin is a peaceful spot to relax after a day of adventure. It's about 2 miles to several trails for dirt biking, ATV, hiking, & mountain biking in the San Isabella Forest. Trailer Parking so bring your ATVs and dirt bikes. A Short drive to the Royal Gorge train and park, St Abby's winery, Arkansas rafting and fishing, restaurants and shops. Comes with almost everything for your off grid in nature experience, even an outhouse / shower enclosure.
To Start- we stayed 2 nights, packed light and did not plan on camping or doing much roughing it.
The cabin was perfect and the bed was comfortable. There is NO plumbing as disclosed. The outhouse is close which is great but not ideal if you are shy about whomever you are with possibly seeing or hearing you while to take care of business. While it’s not luxurious it’s something! The motion solar lights are a plus.
The driveway to access the cabin is EASY to miss and GPS is not 100% accurate. Once you get within .2miles away slow down, the driveway is right after you pass a road on the left. Our GPS always had us passing the driveway.
Loved the experience would visit again.
Solid 10/10. Chris was so helpful and kind. It’s clear he loves his land and it comes through in this meticulously clean little A-Frame. He even offered to tow our gear up with his four-wheeler. We had the best time and will definitely come back. Comfy bed. Comfy bedding. Lots of equipment for cooking. Just overall an incredible experience for some nice quiet time.
We loved our weekend getaway and the views were endless! All the conviences of home, just out of reach of cell service. We really appreciated having our belongings hauled in and out, so we could enjoy the hike in.
Christopher’s land was a great weekend retreat! Phenomenal sunset views and a comfy and clean tent. We would definitely go back!
An incredibly easy drive from Denver and so close to great hikes and Canon City happenings. Christopher was also a very attentive host. He met us the first night to atv our things down here to the site and swung by the 2nd to check on our water. He even offered to atv our things back to the car on checkout, but the walk was doable on our own. Recommend!
We loved camping here for MDW! Peaceful retreat with great views of the mountains and the basic glamping setup that you need. Great hospitality overall with daily checks and arrival/departure help with your gear. Thank you!
