Camp Coyote
Incredible - Loved It!
We had a great time staying at Michelle's! We only stayed one night but got to watch the sunset, enjoy a night under the stars, and breakfast on one of the boulders overlooking Mt. Blanca! Highly recommend!

Camp Coyote
Scenic, private, and unique!
Michelle was very friendly and met us to show us where the campsite was. The sites have incredible views of the San Luis Valley and is a great spot to watch a sunset. We stayed in campsite #1 and it was super tidy, very private, flat for tents, and our spot was tucked away and protected from the wind. Just a note- to get to the campsite you'll need to go a bit off-road, but a sedan did fine and it was definitely worth it. It was about a thirty-five minute drive for us to Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Camp Coyote
Relaxing and beautiful stay.
Our experience at Camp Coyote was fantastic. Michelle is a wonderful and thoughtful host and the views were beautiful. We had plenty of space between us and another campsite and the outdoor toilet was clean.
Plenty of space to explore and very close to the Great Sand Dunes.

Camp Coyote
Good Privacy in the High Desert
We stayed there in late May 2024 and were given a spot tucked right up against numerous rock outcroppings and at the base of a mountainous area with plenty to explore. The first evening for us was extremely windy and made setup extremely difficult, but the second and third days were much calmer for us. The ground around there is very sandy so be aware that your tent stakes may not hold very securely and, if windy, you'll be sucking dust and sand. There were plenty of large rocks and, for us, logs in the area to secure our tent lines to. There are two or more camp sites at Camp Coyote but we only occasionally ever saw those at the other plots due to there being plenty of space and land features separating us. That was very appreciated. We brought our own toilet but there was a porta-john located near ours. We also had a steel fire pit at ours and there was plenty of dead wood in the area to gather. Michelle was friendly and gave us a quick tour of the area before leaving us to it.
My family and I enjoyed the seclusion, privacy and being tucked into the rocks. Just don't go when windy!

Camp Coyote
Michelle was a great host, she responded promptly to messages and was friendly and accomodating. The site had amazing views and was in a great location, which allowed for hiking and exploring right from camp. The site is also within a short distance to many outdoor activities.
