I have never camped at a more peaceful and beautiful campsite. Though it is remote, it really is not that far from the 101. The ambiance and privacy was worth the price and I was thrilled we had a legit site for a rooftop tent.

Great campsite! After reading the reviews I was a bit worried about getting my Kia Soul up there, but it luckily didn’t rain and was able to make it up with no issue in sport mode. Nice bathroom, beautiful view, clean and flat campsite, and very cool mushrooms :) If you want to use the fire set up, make sure to bring a propane tank and not bottles. It was so peaceful and quiet out there and I’d definitely recommend

Great!

I give this site 5 stars for a few simple reasons. 1. Completely as advertised. 2. Host is responsive. 3. Well priced As said in the reviews and the descriptions this place is beautiful and serene. An occasional and I mean "Occasional" car for a resident will drive by very slowly due to the steep and curvy road. Compared to a traditional camp this is nothing. Recs to the host - the directions aren't that hard, but I guess you have had to address it. At night I get it, but my 20 year old found it at night so.... The red sign says "Private Road" not "Privat Property". I would say follow your GPS and go 30 yards further". The mushroom clue is perfect. Also I think the toilet and trash can were a bit full and should be checked on. And we may just be dumb I'm pretty sure you can lock yourself in the toilet from the inside so don't camp alone and do that. I could be wrong. Also I had young children and I think without day trips they would be bored staying multiple days, but there are plenty of day trips in the area and my kids loved it for the night. AGAIN - as advertised and we loved it. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful site to unwind and disconnect. An adventure to get to, but if you follow the directions to a tee, you will get there just fine. If you bring propane tanks for a fire please be aware that the small camping propane tanks will not suffice unless you have some sort of adapter.

Chris's land was beautiful. Camping in the dense forest was excellent. Having a bathroom was a bonus. Thanks, Chris, for sharing this gem with us.

Lovely quick tent camping spot!
Tent
Really beautiful spot that's fairly easy to get to yet feels like you're in the middle of the wilderness. Short "hike" to the creek bench is a lovely touch, saw a few banana slugs and interesting fungi! Camp spot is beautifully prepared with nice soft woodchips and duff, mostly flat, and super comfy to camp on! We were only there for one rainy night but it was a perfect landing spot for a weekend in Humboldt. Might be a little annoying coming/going down 1.5mi dirt road for a longer stay.
