I fell in love with this piece of property years ago, and finally was able to build my dream home here. I rescue unwanted dogs from certain euthanasia who have been abandoned or abused, and provide them a forever home.  Now I want to share my beautiful wooded property where they can run, swim, investigate, play, and enjoy a free-range lifestyle. Campers and their canine family members are welcome to come and enjoy the outdoors.Beautiful secluded camp site close to Indian Creek in Genesee Valley. Located next to a farm-to-table restaurant with Napa Valley wine. Activities available all summer long; including the Silver Buckle rodeo, numerous biking events, running events, Plumas County Fair, and the annual Quincy Music Festival on July 4th.The campsite affords access to thousands of acres of public land for horseback riding, off-road vehicle use, canoeing, tubing, swimming, wildlife viewing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and is all pet-friendly. The area is surrounded by numerous lakes for fishing or recreation. This campsite is only 17 miles from Antelope lake, a popular destination. The campsite is located in a beautiful wooded area, includes a firepit, a portable toilet, and is pet-friendly. Campers must know that there is abundant wildlife, so pets need to be supervised. Pets should not be left outside at night.

Felt very private, camp is a 5 minute walk to the creek. We absolutely loved it. Only downside was the yellow jackets/hornets. It was just that time of year, but they were out in abundance! I would have brought some traps had I known. Other than that it was lovely!

Kris was great. The campsite was great. Highly recommended. This is a private campsite on Kris' large property butting up against a creek. Plenty of space to pitch a couple of tents and there are currently a couple of picnic tables, a couple of rocking chairs and a few stumps for sitting around a large fire pit. Kris provided plenty of firewood and water for both drinking, cooking, and washing. We were also able to refill our water bucket from Kris' outside spigot on her house. That was nice. There are no showers on site but there are a couple of porta-potties, both of which were clean and serviceable. We used 'Scrubbzz' branded bathing wipes from CVS to get clean. The creek was a nice place to relax during a hot afternoon. Bring some innertubes or floaties. Note we couldn't find much 'coast' space so relaxing outside of the water was a no-go for us. Still plenty of fun to be had floating around. The afternoon provides shade on the water so if you're looking for sun go in the morning. The address of the property is a driveway that goes to Kris' house ; however the entrance to the campsite is about 200 yards toward Taylorsville with no signage, so if you'd like to drive straight to camp make sure to turn in to the unmarked driveway closest to Kris' house.

Excellent privacy - close enough to multiple small towns where groceries and supplies are available. Creek is cool and clear, with some massive crawdads and small fish. Beware the hornets and rattlesnakes, otherwise it’s 9/10 awesome!

It was a great time camping on Kristine's land. The campsite is spacious with a nice fire pit and fun rocking chairs set up around it. We enjoyed a game of horseshoes as well as the tree swing that is nearby the campsite. The highlight of the place is definitely the river nearby. It's about a 5 minute stroll from the campsite with nice sandy beaches and shallow areas to wade in and play and even catch the plentiful crawfish swimming around. There's even a small fire pit set up by the river and trees and shade right next to the water that's a perfect spot to set up a hammock and take a nice cool afternoon nap! One thing to be aware about is to make sure you store all your food away in bear safe containers. We had some of our food stored away in regular storage containers, but we had a visitor in the night that ate all our apples, granola, bread, and trail mix. We loss our snacks, but definitely made a bear's night.

We had to cancel because fire evacuees landed on our doorstep, but Kristine was kind and responsive and we will try again soon.

This is by far my favorite hip camp. This place is beautiful. Soaking in the river was magical. Me and my pup had the place to ourselves. Which is how I like it. Kristine is a great host, she put a table cloth on the picnic tables, put out bottles of water, allowed me to use as much firewood as I liked. There’s a sweet tree swing and a sandy space on the river to sit and relax. Love this place.
