We are a 5 Acre property along the Stanislaus River below the shade trees with 2 private beaches and boat launch. We are located between Oakdale and Knights Ferry and just a short drive to Yosemite Valley. Enjoy river raft trips, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing etc. This property can accommodate tent camping, dry RV and group camping. We even hold weddings and events. Disclaimer: Fire ban in effect! We offer a community fire pit to all and we provide the firewood. We do allow propane firepits for your personal site. Our property is our home and our business and is not a public park. Registered guests only.Pitch your tent under shaded Oaks along the Stanislaus River. Our main attraction is Kayaking, Canoeing and Paddle boarding. Enjoy a Horseshoe, Badminton or Volleyball game. Or, just sit and relax watching the river go by on our private beach. Great views along the river. All sites are first come first serve for tents, RV's, Camper Vans and Class C's. However, you will not be disappointed. We welcome your fur babies as long as they stay near you. If not, we appreciate that you leash them. Our a joining neighbors next to us do have livestock. Sconza Candy and a few new Breweries are in town just a 10 minute drive. Knights Ferry is about 15 minutes drive. Summer season, perfect for booking a trip down the Stanislaus river for a day of fun with family and friends. Or, enjoy a walk, hike or bike ride along the trails. Then come back to your beautiful campsites and relax. Each site will include a picnic table and garbage. We do provide an outdoor shower, not heated though. When it's hot out, our campers welcome that. And, will accommodate your vehicles to be near you. Dumpster is on site. We ask that you throw your garbage into dumpster as you depart. Thank you~

Always a good time

This was our 2nd time and Ed and Heathers property , we really love it! The river views are unmatched, everything is set up so welcoming. My family and I tent camped on Memorial Weekend & it was such a good atmosphere for kids and families. We will definitely be back! Thanks Ed and Heather for another great trip in the books

This is our second time at Flip Flop Flat and it exceeded expectations again. The location is perfect-it’s easy to hop in and off the river with a kayak or SUP and the kids loved the beach. And Heather and Ed are kind and helpful hosts. We’re already planning our next trip

Bring the dogs!

30 ft Class C · With pets

Dog paradise! We were looking for a dog-centered retreat for a few days, and we found the best. A beautiful spot overlooking the river where we could simply sit and relax all day long while the dogs played off leash. Ed and Heather were friendly and helpful with everything, even coming by to see if we needed anything from the store at one point, but also respectful of our privacy. Two happy labs live there and like to visit from time to time, but they're friendly and looking to play (or at least run off with a sponge or two. Lol!!) We had a lovely time in a beautiful place, and we're very appreciative of Ed and Heather for opening up their land so that we could enjoy it.

Happy Paws spot - private dog beach

Love it. We stayed at Happy Paws - a private dog beach. Our dog Bodhi made friends with the two young labs that live at Flip Flop Flat. It's certainly a dog friendly spot. Ed, the owner went OUT OF HIS WAY to make sure we had the grand tour and helped immediate clear a few tree limbs to get our trailer precisely where we wanted it. If you love water and dogs, this is your next camp spot!
