We booked our campsite last minute here after having to cancel in another area due to air quality. Our reservation was approved quickly. The drive to the property can be a little scary as the drive is narrow you hit a patch by a tree log that is intimidating. Overall the cars (4x4 truck and Honda Civic) both were fine even after rainy conditions. Once we got to the property we were able to pick any spot we liked. We camped at lower section and had a couple of fire pit areas to be able to use. (There was a nice bunch of wood left for us which was super continent!) We did have rainy conditions on and off for the two days but we’re still able to take advantage of the creek and trails. The waterfalls and caves are beautiful. We did get to go on a swim in the rain that was super memorable. The downside to the property was you could hear the train at time and there is no bathroom. We packed a portable toilet and tent and we’re fine but plan accordingly as it is a 15-20 minute drive to town and most places do not offer a public restroom. Overall the site was as described and the pictures do no do justice to the creek and caves. Definitely worth checking out.

20 ft campervan
Very cool private land, had to read the listing carefully to bring everything we needed. We had a great time. Only thing for the directions we needed a little more detail, the road actually turns into Red Dog Rd before turning into Lowell Hill. Once we figured out we were going the wrong way we backtracked and found the spot. Great spot

Crespillo Mountain was funnnnnn!!!! 4WD is highly suggested to access the property. I also suggest less experienced drivers to drive in the day time. Brian, the groundskeeper, was very helpful and easy to get along with. The property is clean and kept up. The advice to not follow GPS is appreciated and instructions provided are pretty clear cut! Per my request, Brian showed us the upper waterfall. The lower waterfall was was a short hike down the path. Both waterfalls are accessible by vehicle. The swimming holes are absolutely beautiful and pictures don't do them justice! Conveniently enough, If you forget anything, the closest store is approximately twenty minutes away. Plenty of hiking with absolute BEAUTIFUL views! There are truly no amenities, so come prepared! I'm already booking my next stay!!!
