Wayward Farm is a 33 acre cooperative farm community in its fledgling phases. We are working toward raising our own food and creating space for connections and learning. We started with milk cows and chickens and added a couple of pasture pigs. There are two gentle horses who live here. There are meandering trails throughout the back side of the property and a creek that flows from the small pond. There is plenty of wildlife on the back side of the property which includes deer, turkey, woodpeckers, mourning doves, coyote, fox, blue heron, and much, much more. We are a 15 minute drive from the Nevada County fairgrounds. The tent is based at the trailhead leading on several hikes throughout the property. It is behind an old cow barn that is no longer in use and has views of the meadows and farm. It is on the opposite side of the property from the cows, so you will view them from a distance. There are plenty of trees to hang a tent. The tent faces the sunset and the night skies are stupendous.

Alana was a lovely host, and this site was absolutely precious. I hope to go back. The yurt was a great location, and very relaxing. Lots of birds and beautiful oak trees. :)

Charming Escape
Alana was a wonderful host. She showed me around and walked me down to the tent. The tent has a very comfortable bed with pillows as well as some charming decor. The property also has some hiking trails as well as a large farm with horses and cows. All in all a wonderful place to unwind and meditate!
