Welcome to our gorgeous natural desert landscape with a quiet atmosphere and vast views. Guests are welcome to hike and explore our extensive land, which includes over 500 acres of primitive hiking trails, meditation gardens, and secret caves. This is an incredible place for stargazing and views of the milky way. The landscape is similar to the national park, though guests at Boulder Gardens will have a secluded place to set up camp, away from the crowds. Pioneertown, home to the famous venue Pappy and Harriets, as well as Red Dog Saloon is within a short drive. Joshua Tree National Park is within a 25 minute drive.

Primitive Site

This is such a perfect place to camp and get the feeling of being in Joshua Tree without the crowds. Shayna was a very kind host and I definitely will be camping here again in the future.

The Boulder Valley

I spent the better part of my three day weekend enjoying the outdoors at the foot of some epic boulders. I could not ask for a more stunning, isolated and tranquil location away from JTNP. As a first time visitor and coming late from work, I navigated through a mile or two of dirt roads getting to the sanctuary later than expected. Shayna was in touch early on to check on my ETA and met me on arrival. She gave me the highlights and details of the location and escorted me to my campsite. While we only met briefly, she set the tone for my stay with her positive vibe and helpfulness. If you are into primitive or dry camping, this spot is an excellent alternative to the constantly booked Jumbo Rocks site in JTNP. I’ll be booking another stay shortly as three days was nowhere enough time to appreciate this unique location.

Awesome getaway!

We loved camping here. My partner and I camped in our sprinter van which worked out perfect cause it was a bit windy, so if your tent camping prepare for a bit of wind. (Mid February) Beautiful land, great/friendly staff, lots of area to explore. Definitely will come back

Overall it was a beautiful stay at the Boulder Garden Sanctuary Geodome. The dome really makes you feel like you have a home and then your tent is your room haha. FYI if you are coming for Joshua Tree just know it’s about 30-40min drive from the park. But the drive in the morning is absolutely gorgeous so we didn’t mind. Everyone we met was extremely kind and welcoming.

Awesome place. Feels both really safe and so secluded. You can only see nature once you're at the site yet you're not far from the hosts or other campers. If you're looking for somewhere really peaceful and quiet then this is it!

The site was exactly as described and beautiful. The people were excellent and really helpful. It was a really great stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a desert adventure!
