Not private but great cell service!
17 ft campervan · With kids
Overall we had a great experience but the site was close to several other campers and that was not expected. I was expecting more privacy. Thankfully I had a pop up then for my portable camp toilet. There were 3 other sets of campers there and I could hear their conversations. I didn't mind that too much though. Campers should note that it looks like there is some rudimentary construction going on in the area. Construction wasn't active but you can see the materials and what looks like an outhouse/bathroom in the making. What made up for that is the cell phone service. I had my doubts because I have TMobile service (they tend to have the worst reception) but I had great reception! That eased my anxiety since I had to work during our trip and also wanted reception in case of emergency.

Exceptional view… grounds need TLC
18 ft travel trailer
Yes, the view is absolutely amazing… however, the grounds were less than my expectations. When we arrived, there were no designated spaces available, so we set up on a path in the middle, next to the host. The spaces that are there are closer together than the description leads you to believe, but they are nicely graveled and level. A weed wacker would do wonders for the grounds, as it’s foxtail season. Because we had to setup in the ungroomed area, there was plenty of pokers in the socks, and I was worried about our fur-baby swallowing and/or getting one in the nose or ear. I can see that they are in the process of improvements, so these changes may be coming. The view and the fact that you get good cell service up there are definitely worth the price… just needs a bit of TLC to warrant a revisit.

View of the Cosmos
10 ft campervan
Came up to this spot with my brother to get off the grid and get some bonding time. Michael, the groundskeeper, was very hospitable and provided us with a great experience. Honestly, we came for the camping - but stayed for the stargazing. 360 view on top of the mountain with little to no light pollution from the Central Valley; it was absolutely amazing! I was even able to snap some pics of constellations with just my cell phone. When have you ever been able to do that?! Again, we had a blast and look forward to revisiting this campsite again down the road.
