Learn more about this land: We have an adorable country decorated loft above a horse barn. Horses are on pasture, and equestrian guests are welcome to bring their horses to keep in the paddocks behind the barn. The loft above the barn is fully furnished and has a great kitchen and queen sized bed as well as single rollaway, sleeping mat for toddlers and a PAC-N-Play for babies. There is a little deck off the back to enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee. You can see the Tahoe snow caps and also look over a gold-rush era cemetery. This area is known for wonderful trails for hiking, biking and horse riding. The American River rafting is popular in the summer and early fall months. With all the rain this year, the river is high and moving! We have 2 cruiser bicycles that guests are welcome to use and Cronin Ranch trail head is at the end of the street. This is a ranch with many animals you can enjoy. Fresh eggs from the chickens are available when the ladies are laying. There are also Dwarf Nigerian goats from which I make goat milk soap. Teddy, Stella and Hazel are the ranch livestock guard dogs and Willow is the funny little basset hound running around the ranch with her daughter Winter! We have an organic garden and fresh veggies available in summer and we love to share the bounty! One and pick your veggies for dinner! There is a shared pool behind the main house for those hot days, as well as the American River close by. We will be happy to give guests their privacy if you want to use the pool. We have updating the outdoor furniture to include a lounging area, picnic table, propane and small charcoal grill, as well as fire pit with chairs. In the loft there are non-breakable dishes and glasses to use outside or by the pool. **News flash! Horses are on pasture, and only in the stall briefly during foaling. The loft is fully furnished and has a great kitchen and bathroom! There is an very comfortable organic hybrid queen bed with luxurious and soft linens! My boyfriend and I loved how cozy and relaxing the loft was. We were greeted by the dogs when we drove up. All the animals were friendly. The loft is so well decorated. We had a nice time here and I would recommend other people to stay.

Nice host and friendly animals.
With kids
My wife and I and my 3-yr-old son enjoyed our stay very much. The place was very neat and clean. Pam, the host, is a very nice lady. She showed my son how to feed the goats and she gave us some eggs that the hens have just laid. My son enjoyed petting the horses and the goats! They are very kid-friendly. You do not need to worry about the heat because there is A/C in the unit. Also the pool is a great way of cooling down!

Charming Farm Stay & Lovely Animals
Animal Lover's Farm is the chance to be surrounded by horses, chickens, ducks, goats and the most beautiful dogs, in a clean, tidy beautiful setting. Every detail was curated by our exceptional host, Pamela. From the arrival instructions to the seasonal decor to comfortable spaces and charming animals - everything was wonderful. We loved the sunrise view from the balcony and the proximity to small towns and the American River. Our beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. We took so many great photos and will always remember the friendly cuddles with Hazel, Stella and Teddy.

The loft in the barn was adorable. I, personally, loved all the decorations and the overall “homey” feel. It was easy to get into, clean and we pretty much had everything we needed. It felt private enough but you still get the experience of being on a farm. We were free to roam around the property: visiting animals and the garden/pool area. The dogs were super friendly. During quiet hours, the animals were calm and you didn’t really notice them. Our hostess, Pam, was amazing! She offered us some farm goodies and answered all of our questions about the animals with such knowledge. She responded to our questions and concerns quickly and efficiently. We would love to stay here again!

Must love horses and dogs.
Pam's horse trailer was just so adorable and just the get away that we needed. If you are going on a raft trip on the American or wanting to spend time on Folsom Lake or Lake Natoma this is the perfect location. Pam provided some great extras-a bottle of wine, a cooler with ice, coffee, and fresh eggs! The bed was very comfortable and inside the trailer was very quiet. We can't wait to visit again.
