32 beautiful acres with 1 tent/ hammock campsites ( more coming soon) next to a year round spring fed stream. The perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day. The property full of huge oaks and pines with an abundance of wildlife, turkeys, deer, raccoons, squirrels and more. There are several hiking trails going throughout the property and if you decide to go to the top you’ll find some beautiful views. It feels like you’re deep in the woods but you’re just minutes away from Jacksonville and all it has to offer.Raelean is a cozy little board and batton off grid cabin with 12volt power only, which is plenty for interior lighting and fan. Nestled on the corner of 32 acres of old growth hardwoods with some walking trails to stretch your legs on. It’s approximately 100 yards up a gravel pathway next to a year round spring fed creek. Jacksonville is just a 10 minute drive away where you can find restaurants, grocery stores and when the season is in football at Jacksonville state college. Less the 5 minutes away you’ll find a 50 year old restaurant known as Big Daddy’s cafe. Bring your cash though, they are an old school place that doesn’t except plastic. Also just minute further up the road is your average everyday convenience store stocked with beverages and snacks. If you’re into hiking or just exploring more Choccolocco management area is just up the road which is part of Taladega national forest. There you’ll find Coleman lake (seasonal) and sweet water lake where you can do some fishing, hiking or just plain relaxing. And more hiking trails like the Pinhoti which connects to the Appalachian Trail and many others.

Jody's place was a wonderful find. And now will be on my list to stay at when traveling to my son. I hate paying for a hotel when I much prefer nature. This is exactly what you find here. Slept like a baby. The camp is nestled in between trees with lots of trails to explore. Nice composting toilet easy to figure out. Highly recommend!

The perfect rustic cabin!
Wow! I can’t say enough good things about this place… such a jam! I was looking for a “special” place to spend a night while passing through Alabama, and this was spot on. The cabin is equipped with EVERYTHING you may need, everything is build and designed with amazing attention to details, the surrounding is beautiful.. it was really the perfect rustic place. My compliments to the chef!:)

Loved it!
We loved our time at Birdie! It was perfect for our family get away. The restroom and shower were clean and efficient. We were impressed by the tremendous detail and obvious love that had gone into this space. We particularly enjoyed playing in the creek right next to our site. Would love to return!

Best Hipcamp expérience!
This place is meticulously and thoughtfully planned, built, and decorated. I am in awe of all of the details on the property. It is so tranquil and serene and comfortable. Jody is very responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Built With Love!
Jopappy’s off grid cabin and accompanying outdoor shower and compost toilet were truly beautiful. I couldn’t help but notice that every detail was made with love and intention. I look forward to returning one day!
