Slough Creek Campground

Lining the east side of this campground are both primitive and electric sites, and each one is decked out with a killer view of Lake Perry. Once you’ve caught all the fish you can fit in your fire ring, there are two great trails to check out. This campground not only has access to the 29-mile-long Perry Lake Trail, but it also houses the Thunder Ridge Trail. Pro tip: If you hike the 2.5 miles of Thunder Ridge, an educational and interactive trail through the park, you’ve earned yourself kudos (Go You!), and a prize that can be picked up at the gate. Knowledge is power, but goodies are pretty sweet, too.
