Anytime is a good time to visit Vogel State Park.

In the summer cool off in the lake and sunbathe on the beach, and in the fall (which is especially awesome) hike amongst the jaw dropping vibrant fall foliage and get that cozy fall feeling without any pumpkin spice needed. Vogel is one of Georgia’s most loved parks and you are gonna want a few nights here. Choose between RV and tent friendly sites, cottages, and primitive backcountry walk in sites depending on your level of hard-corness. You will be rewarded no matter which you choose, even the drive up here is gorgeous!

Made reservations months ago. When we checked in today we were unable to get our RV into the site. Campground was full we loose. Won’t be going back they couldn't honor our reservation. We were so disappointed. Lot of time spent traveling packing unpacking. Employers didn’t even care :( on website says the site holds a 25 ft RV. Not so much

Always too crowded in peak season. Stopped going here a while ago.

I've "camped" here in the log cabins, which are incredible for the price. The lake is one of the most beautiful settings/sites in all of North Georgia. There is something magical about Vogel. Makes a great basecamp if you're hiking to Blood Mountain.

One of the oldest and most beautiful State Parks in Georgia. Sits in Union County, near the Appalachian Trail, Blood Mountain, and breathtaking Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest mountain, rising 4,784 feet above sea level. Great facilities, clean modern cabins as well as CCC era log cabins, and tent sites. Paddle boats (in-season), mini-golf, etc.
