Quiet, shaded campground with power amd water. No loud music or partiers mid week in Nov. Guided kayak trip was excellent. Guide knew where to find, and identified, manatee, alligators, birds, turtles, plants. Floated in the cool, crystal clear spring afterward. Hiking, biking, stores, restaurants nearby. They just installed 2 paved ADA camp sites near ADA bathroom. It was magical. The spring headwaters close Nov 15 to kayaks and swimming as manatees gather. Plenty of open water in St Johns River to kayak though amd manatees feed there. Last year they had 600 manatees at spring in Jan! Crowds get bad then and park may close so call first or go earlier or later. It is a magical place
Dope spot, family friendly, an absolute must visit!!!
