Tooranie Stay

6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents300 acres · Moama, NSW
Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Mobile and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

A magical property with incredible views over the Strathbogie Ranges and Balmattum Hill. Only six km from town off a quiet, sealed, no-through road; it is a unique setting – 152 acres, privately located with creek frontage. We are completely off-grid. The 152ac allows people to wander the laneways and safely admire the animals with their babies. Interactive tours to meet and greet the animals can be arranged. Just text me to receive more information about these. We also offer Animal Assisted Therapy sessions - visit www.esbtherapy.com.au - for more information. It's a unique experience at Euroa Horse Park – a horse stud with Gypsy Cobs that can be ridden or driven, plus miniature Galloway cattle that love Arrowroot biscuits. There are several beautiful campsites with shade and shelter where you can switch off, sit back and just relax. There a portable toilet is available and pets are welcome (so long as they're kept under control). The property also has large, open areas which are available to hire for marquee weddings that can also include a rustic horse-drawn carriage. There is plenty to see and do in the local area, with bush walks, swimming holes, cafes, antiques, great pubs, and more. And we’re an easy drive to Mansfield, Swanpool, Benalla and Shepparton. We are open between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week. Prior arrangements need to be made with 48 hours notice for outside of these hours. We may suggest an alternative site location depending on your set up and our circumstances.

Ellesmere Park Farm Stay

10 sites · RVs, Tents68 acres · Stanhope, VIC
Ellesmere Park Farm Stay was inspired by our trip following the stock routes of NSW by horse drawn vehicles. Many people commented they would love to do that, which gave us the idea of sharing our amazing journey with others. Our camping area is a lot more comfortable than we endured with a well set up camp kitchen, green lawns and friendly animals all in one area. Our mascot, "Lucky lamb", is an attraction all of her own and who else can say "Kevin bacon" lives here! Our farm stay offers a large grassed camping area with camp kitchen. We are located within easy driving distance of Greens lake and the Waranga basin for fishing, boating and swimming activities and only 15km from Rushworth and the historic Whroo township.Campers are welcome to join us as we feed the animals and can book horse drawn wagon rides during their stay. Fires and pets allowed (read Listing rules). There is only one toilet and one shower available, it is recommended that campers are self sufficient

Glenmaye Farm

7 sites · RVs, Tents700 acres · Balmattum, VIC
Glenmaye Farm is a family run oasis in the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges. Running alongside the headwaters of the Faithfulls Creek, dotted with rocky outcrops, steep gullies and world class waterfalls over ancient rock formations.  The land is wild and there is something to see around every corner and over every rise. Views for days from up the top, and spots along the creek that you could relax in for hours on a warm sunny afternoon. An abundance of wildlife to delight the senses, from Eagles to Echidnas and everything in between.  If you are looking to completely immerse yourself in nature, discover stunning scenery and feel like you are the only people on earth then Glenmaye Farm is for you.  Glenmaye is an easy 15km drive off the Hume Freeway, out of Euroa. 2 hours North of Melbourne. When purchased in early 2000’s this farm was like many others in this region, completely over used, covered in weeds and not much more, farmed conventionally with no regard for the fragility of this land compared to flat land down stream. So we stopped farming sheep, converted to cattle and loosely practice regenerative agriculture techniques. Whilst still a work in progress, many of the native trees and grasses are slowly coming back and while weeds are still a problem they are adding back to the soil and allowing the natives some protection to get established. We have a range of different camping options available, with hopefully more to come as we go along. At present our facilities are basic however we will be investing in some facility options as soon as we can so watch this space. We have firewood available to purchase and often have a surplus of produce available to share so please ask. We look forward to meeting you and sharing this little paradise with you soon.
