Hi you have come across one of the more secluded campsites on hipcamp, this campsite is located on a quiet dead end gravel road with 160 acres of forest and thousands of acres of public forest on 2 sides of the property . Lake Huron is roughly a five minute drive from here also a running/biking trail running along the shoreline .PH hoeft state park is also minutes from campsite where they offer camper water fillups , the small town of rogers city is a 10 minute drive from campsite , you are welcome to shoot guns at this campsite as there are rarely any people around ,all we ask is that you use common sense and safety first while shooting, bring your tent or rv .This site is located in a large clearing on the property ,there's a steel gate by the road with black bear retreat sign ,just follow the arrow signs once inside to fireplace area ,also you can use the whole clearing if you prefer to camp at another area In the clearing

Perfect for fall and very very remote. Enjoyed our stay and the stars were amazing. If you’re like us and got up and on the road at 6:30am then you’ll be just in time to pull off to the beachy area right down the road for a sunrise show you won’t want to miss. Also as a bonus our malinois had the whole place to get all his runs in through the evening and morning (also the reason we were on the road by 6:30)

This is a great spot! Completely secluded, huge, beautiful area. Perfect for people who don't enjoy campgrounds or camping anywhere near other people. Huge clearing in the middle of nowhere. Was able to see the northern lights during my stay and heard nothing but the wild animals the entire time. This is my first time using this app so I didn't quite know how to navigate but this site was exactly what I was looking for and more. Host is awesome. There was so much firewood at the site. Can't wait to come back. 10/10

The night sky is the darkest available in Michigan with stars visible all the way down to the tree line! The site is very quiet and the bugs were less than expected. The surrounding brush prevents taking walks but, the Hoeft State Park is only 4 miles away and has great trails and a nice lake shore.
