1 night at Sunflower Retreat
We had a cozy stay at the Just Be cabin. We arrived after dark and the trail to the cabin was well lit and easy to find. Stacey took the time to build a fire in the woodstove before we arrived so the cabin was very warm, and it was easy to keep warm throughout the evening. For a small cabin it felt very spacious. Really appreciated getting to stay at this sweet retreat!

The very best thing about our night here was the loaf of fresh sourdough bread we preordered. Delicious!! Exceptional flavor and texture. The site was great too. Very private, level enough we didn’t need leveling blocks for our van. Beautiful spot.

This site was perfect for us! We came with our dogs and they loved running around on the trails and in the fields - the site had a picnic table and cooking area, and we grabbed firewood, eggs, maple syrup and a few other goodies from the farm stand on the way in. David and his family were amazing hosts, checking in periodically to see if we needed anything to make our stay even more comfortable. We took advantage of the permanent tent at the site and our own tents, both were super fun - we will most definitely be back again, thank you David and family!

Weekend Trip to Quentins Treehouse
Absolutely beautiful and serene! A great getaway close to awesome restaurants and live music. The treehouse is romantic and the views of the lake are breathtaking! Perfect spot for a campfire, morning coffee and open fire cooking adventure!

We’ve done several Hipcamps before and this I by far our favorite. The owners are very nice and are available if needed. The campsite was perfect with a large platform that can fit our huge 6 person tent. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed saying hello to the farm animals and going for hikes nearby. I highly recommend!

Along with trails this park also offers fishing, boating, and winter sports when the season comes. Should you want to stick to the trails, one of the most scenic brings you to the Schermerhorn Gorge. Starting with a steep climb past Schermerhorn’s babbling brook and through a boulder filled forest, small cascades streaming throughout. It takes a long time to explore 16,500 acres! Clear your schedule and stay for a while at the parks campground. Offering not just the standard campsite options, but also yurts, you can be as comfortable as you choose!

The campground has 3 sections, located on different tiers of a hill. The lower level has RV sites, middle has tent sites, and upper has a few yurts. Each level has a bath house (3 toilet stalls and 1 shower in the lower level; it was run-down but clean enough). Outside the entrance station (near the RV sites) is a HUGE power station that emits a hum constantly. Super annoying and an eyesore. You’ll see many vehicles drive-by with boats or ATVs in tow as the state forest also has areas suitable for their use. Accessible from the campground are a few hiking trails. Monument Mountain is a popular hiking spot about 20 minutes away and Bash Bish Falls State Park is about 45 minutes away. Note: Massachusetts does not allow alcohol in their parks.

Loop 1 is tailored for RV/trailers; Loop 2 sites are nestled into the woods; Loop 3 has 2 tent sites and 3 yurts. A few sites are along the road (one is immediately adjacent to the bathhouse) - so book early for best selection. The rangers were friendly and helpful. Plenty of trails to explore!

Great campground with large sites and clean bathrooms. One shower per bathroom but there didn't seem to be too much of a backup. I didn't take one so can't speak to cleanliness. Nice dish sink outside the bathrooms too.
