We will announce our weeklong kids camp one day in the very near future and the partnerships we're creating that will impact young lives right here in our community. We're a small 46-site campground that's owned by a local family. Our families have been here in Boyd County for generations. Our family dream has been in the works for many years. At the end of 21, the dream of having a campground in Ashland KY, had actually come to reality. We had the spot we had been looking for after many years. The spot that would allow us to create a world-class resort right here in our hometown of Ashland in Boyd County KY. A dream that will bring to life a place where countless generations will come to create memories that they will cherish for the rest of their lives. We are a multi-member family business. It's ok. We've been successful in creating several other businesses together, so we're prepared to work together and see this dream fully come true. Our family consists of people that are Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Wives, and husbands. A couple are now even grandparents. But we are always, family first and that means our friends and team members too.
Our goal is to create another business that not only creates a place to come have a great time. It's our goal to create a campground in our hometown area of Ashland KY, Huntington WV, and Southern OH where our team members are able to work and live a great life.
Our mission is to take the rewards of our campground business and then "Spread Kindness" throughout the community to all. Especially to those families with kids that are fighting for a better tomorrow, but just can't seem to get ahead. We will announce our weeklong kids camp one day in the very near future and the partnerships we're creating that will impact young lives right here in our community. We are not perfect, but we never give up. We change direction, but we never lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. This place isn't just our dream. Oasis Point is for you. It's for our hometown.

This is a funky little spot, don't be put off by the drive in. Mike has created a number (5?) of leveled gravel full hook up sites pretty close together, but very nice. Sweet communal fire pit right on a deck overlooking a little river. Fantastic bathroom with running hot water and shower! We would definitely camp here again. Thank you Mike.

We arrived to our campsite and had the entire mountain top to choose our site. Zero light pollution and open view to the entire night sky. Just minutes from town but you couldn’t tell that from our location. Torren met us at the site and was accommodating to anything we needed. Absolutely a 5 STAR campsite and host. You will love this place.

We chose this site for a fall friends trip and couldn't have been happier about the spot! Gorgeous views, attentive host, and decent seclusion. The site was well maintained and the retreat wasn't crowded with too many camping spots. Almost zero road noise so evenings were very peaceful. A wonderful experience. West Virginia might be almost Heaven, but Mike’s place is Heaven. Do your dog a favor and take them to Camp Comatose. The hospitality is over the top .
It is a little tricky to get to Mike’s place , but worth the challenge .

We had a wonderful stay at this little store and enjoyed shopping in the store to get some fresh bread and Amish butter. The host were very attentive and welcoming. The property has an area where you could walk and enjoy wildflowers and was very peaceful. We’ll definitely stop again..

Great site. Owner Dan Sr and Dan Jr were great and friendly. Awesome being able to have full hook up for our 5th wheel. 50A was available. Very quiet and was able to enjoy the evenings with just our friends who was camping with us. Will definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing time camping at Higher Ground! It was so refreshing to just relax, unwind, and disconnect from the world. The area is stunning and there are some really cool places nearby. Dianna and the crew were super friendly and helpful, and the local honey and eggs were incredible! We’ll definitely be back!

Very family oriented! The owner has a few family members with their campers there and everyone is amazing. I forgot propane and they let me use their grill in a heart beat. Owner is very nice and the site has water and full electric hookup. Everyone is really laid back in would highly recommend it here!

We had a great time at Buck Run Retreat! Daniel & Daniel Jr. were amazing hosts, shared some of their garden tomatoes, and the site was beautiful. We really appreciated the full (water/electric/septic) hookup, and hiking the trails. We had great neighbors and it was a perfect weekend getaway. We'll definitely be back again!!
