Gratitude Fields, Wildo's Mudhut

2 sites · Lodging10 acres · Twisp, WA
The Methow Valley is a beautiful wild river valley on the east side of the North Cascades mountain range. We have been homesteading on Libby Creek for 30+ years. We built an Earthship home and have been growing much of our own food for all these years. We are seniors now but want to remain on our land and have decided to open it up to campers from mid-may through mid-october. Our property is only 1 mile off the valley floor (hwy), creek frontage, quiet, private and lovely. If you are looking for an experience of alternative homesteading lifestyle with friendly open hearted seniors who love to share their story and experiences, come stay with us for a couple nights or ........ Their is wonderful hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, hunting and just plain connections with nature available here. We look forward to knowing you.

Whistlin' Pine Ranch Resort

17 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents500 acres · Pateros, WA
Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, opened in 1946 and operated by my Grandparents until 1980 when my father decided to continue operations, adding Outfitting and Guide services into the Pasayten and Sawtooth Wilderness areas. Covid put a halt on business for a few years but we are making some gradual upgrades and changes to offer camping and horseback riding experiences again. The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. We will offer guided horseback rides by the hour on site for the season 2024. Must book in advance. Free Wifi available near the office only.

Nirvana Gardens

6 sites · Lodging140 acres · Riverside, WA
Nirvana gardens is at 3000 feet in the North Cascades of Washington. It is 140 acres with a private lake. You will have access to hundreds of acres of roaming with your own private lake. Trail run, hike, Mountain Bike, lake swim, or just sit, meditate, and read a book on the cedar dock watching the sun sets. Nirvana is available in winter with certain requirements. Please message before booking to get a list of the requirements for winter months October 20th to April 1st. I had been searching for over 2 years for a property where I could make a difference in the environment and live in the wilderness. I was looking for water on a large tract of land that was remote. In 2017 I found the perfect property and to my dismay it had sold 2 days before I saw the listing. I was shocked because this was the perfect property. In my 2 years of searching I knew exactly what I wanted and this was the property. It had a private lake with fish. A solar cabin with a flush toilet and hot shower. The cabins 8 foot windows faced West for magical sunsets and view of the storms that roll in from the coast. It was beautifully treed with just the right amount of open meadow and forest with Hemlock, Ponderosa pine, and Larch. How could this property be sold? I tried to let it go but thought about it for the next year. After a year and a half had passed and my search continued I came across an advertisement for this magical property, it was up for sale again. I called the real estate agent immediately and found that an offer had been made but the buyers could not commit for 5 more months. I made an offer that day not really knowing how I was going to pull off the money. I knew this property was meant for me. I wrote the owner a letter explaining that I was a land steward and that this land would never be developed. I would be putting it in a land trust where no developers could put up condos. The owner happened to be a environmentally focused human and he ended up selling to me. Come to find out when I had first saw the property sold a year and a half before, that transaction had fallen through. The owner had just taken it off the market for the winter. You will absolutely love the magic of Nirvana Gardens. The quiet, the wild animals, the crystal clear lake, clean air, and relaxing healing atmosphere of the ultimate nature bath.

Toby Mill Cabin

1 site · Lodging200 acres · Loomis, WA
We’ve had this property in my family for over 30 years and it is been a potato farm, a cattle ranch, and a Lumber-mill site. We built our cabin from scratch from 47 tamarack large trees on our property. This is a very rustic and remote log cabin situated on 120 acres that is adjacent to DNR state land. It is primarily forested and teaming with wildlife. The cabin is about 4000 feet in elevation on Lemonasky Mountain just 1 mile below and an historical fire look-out. It is perched on top of a beautiful large meadow with a 50 mile view that has wonderful sunrises and sunsets.

Healing Haven Campground

1 site · Lodging20 acres · Oroville, WA
Our new Alaskan Iditarod Sled Dog Kennel and Campground is located in the Okanogan Highlands just 4 miles south of the Canadian border off of Hwy 97 and just outside the historical town of Oroville, Washington. The orchards and green pastures of the valley floor are in contrast to the rigged cliffs and dramatic glacial features that surround our 20 acres located on an isolated and peaceful high mountain plateau. Just 1.5 miles away is the wonderful Lake Wannacut Public Access Area where you can swim, enjoy the day on your boat, or just lazily fish from the shore. There are biking and horseback trails such as the Similkameen Trail, the Whistler Canyon Trail, and a vast amount of ATV trails. Museums, local wineries, and an 18 hole golf course provide great day trips and there are a myriad of scenic drives awaiting your exploration. On the property itself you can bike, hike, get a lesson in gold panning at our very own gold mine, or even go on a dogsled ride. Enquire as to availability of tours and experiences at time of booking. The area is rich with quartz and many other minerals and crystals reported to be both a spiritual and a health benefit and the seclusion and quiet will leave you feeling rejuvenated after your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Healing Haven Campground, hope you will excuse any renovations and/or construction of our newly established home, kennel, and campground here in the wild and wonderful Okanogan region, and we also hope that you will have time to book a tour of the kennel, home to an authentic Alaskan Iditarod Sled Dog Team known as the Polar Pirate Pups. Several dispersed campsites are available immediately, with a small cabin to be used as a common area, a Tiny Lodge, and what we call The Tiniest Home coming in the following weeks. See you soon!
