A half mile down the road you can visit the whale trail where you will find a Sandy beach, high rocky cliffs , many tide pools to explore, and a resident octopus if you can find him among the starfish. Freshwater bay is excellent for kayaking, hiking, beach combing or sunbathing. Mountain biking is excellent straight from this property as there are many designated hiking and biking trails where there are benches built in at viewpoints to enjoy the panoramic views of the straits, Canada and Olympic National park. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some WW11 bunkers to explore along your ride. We offer a large grassy communal area with cedar picnic tables, fire pit, Adirondack chairs , potable water ( safe to drink) large BBQ grill, electric outlets, and Cornhole. We are out in the country away from the sounds of the city but close enough to enjoy many beautiful places around you. Port Angeles is 12 miles away, Victoria ferry 20 minutes, 9 miles to Salt Creek , 12 miles to Hurricane Ridge visitor center, 30 miles to Hurricane Ridge Olympic National Park, 1/2 mile to Freshwater Bay, 24 miles to Hoh rain forest, 9 miles to Lake Crescent Lodge and the list goes on!
