This is the place
Excellent campsite central to everything you’d want to do in Olympic. The facilities were great and way beyond what I was looking for/expected- I was just camping but the nicer rentals looked like a good deal and I’d imagine anyone could find a comfort level they can work with here (see: SAUNA). Seph was the man and a great host who was happy to give a rec, have a hang, and make a great trip even more memorable. Thanks for the great week and hope to be back soon.

Everything about camping here was great! They have all amenities you need for a beginner camper. The only issue we faced was of an unleashed dog charging at us once. I think it was the host’s dog. It was late at night while we were returning from the restroom. A dog started growling at us, out of the dark. It wouldn’t back off and got us a little worried.

First time camping!!
It was our first time camping and the campsite was everything we were looking for. It was easy to find and the tent platform was adequate. We reserved campsite 4b and it was very close to the restrooms (which is a plus). The whole place was well maintained, I would strongly recommend.

neat spot. We needed up staying in site 6, not 8 which was nice because it had electricity which was perfect for a cold night with the heater when we were traveling lightly without our sleeping bags. Host provided extra blankets too which was appreciated. The kitchens were great and many cool paths to explore. It is rather close to the highway so be prepared to hear some car traffic at night. The bridges were super cute, but be cautious walking over them when they are wet, I fell coming down one just due to it being super slippery. I was not very impressed with the showers… you were either going to be freezing or burned, there was no in between. Not sure if something was wrong with the pipes but the hot and cold definitely did not mix. Other then that, cool place to check out.

A great place to unwind! You can mingle with others or keep to yourself. Camp host, Seth, made a great community fire and was fun to chat with. Note, the glamping tents weren't heated so make sure to bring proper sleeping gear if in the cooler months.

1b sol duc rainforest camping site
Great location and beautiful campsite with lots of amenities :) Also very dog friendly! Seth was acting as camp host and was gracious and welcoming. 1b was right off the Olympic Discovery trail and felt like being in the park. As others have said, this campsite is set back from the others and felt private, which I enjoyed. Because it is private, it is slightly farther from the central amenities, but they are just a short walk down the hill. The campsite is a very short walk from the parking spot and the road in could easily be done with 2WD. There is some muffled road noise, but it is not distracting and at night you mainly hear forest sounds. Will absolutely camp here again!
