SO many trails and places to explore in this area. Conveniently centered between the Nisqually Mt Rainier National Park entrance (15 mins) and the town of Morton (15 mins) for major restaurants and shopping. Mineral Lake is just a mile or so down the road for all your water sporting activities. You can rent kayaks and boats there. Morton has a Thriftway grocery store (the largest grocery store in all the surrounding Mt Rainier towns) as well as a variety of restaurants, a brew pub with an amazing wood fired pizza truck and various other amenities.

5 acre fully fenced Mt. Rainier view property. Dog and horse friendly. Please leash and pick up. Owners have large friendly dogs on property who have access to the campsite. There is a full game room for your enjoyment and free wifi. Both sites are full RV sites with 50 amp, water, sewer. We have 42' RV available for rental as well that is across from the site, there may be tenants staying there during your stay. We are the doorstep to Mt. Rainier and all of its' glory. Less than an hours drive from Crystal Mountain Resort. Located at the top of Carbon Canyon we have endless trails for hiking, horse riding, and motor sports. Feel free to bring your toys and you can drive right off the property. You will be staying in a rural area next to horses, goats, pigs, chickens. A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year.

This property is nature’s “gem” for those who love the outdoors and wish to be part of what nature has to offer. Wake up to the peaceful sounds of Butter Creek while enjoying your morning coffee. In the event this site is booked, please message me for a possible opening, in the event there has been a cancellation. When you book this site, it is for "one camper" only - Site 1 as shown on the hand-sketch. The other two sites are shown for reference and alternate locations, depending on the size of your camper. If you are vacationing with friends that don't have an RV, please message me about our additional accommodation (up to two adults). This RV spot is equipped with a 20, 30 and 50 amp receptacle, with full access to water and septic. You will also have access to free wi-fi. As there are NO bathroom facilities on the property, NO TENT camping is allowed. This RV spot is located just minutes from town, where you can enjoy unique restaurants, breweries, and shopping. There are numerous year-round recreational activities including hiking, boating, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, and fishing. This location is just 30 minutes from White Pass Ski Area and 25 minutes from the Stevens Canyon Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. The Cowlitz River Sandy Edge Campground is 20 acres of serenity and peace. A bird watchers dream place to be! lots of singing birds throughout the campground and the anglers delight with known fishing holes right off the banks. Enjoy the private campsite with ample space for family fun and cool quiet nights on the sandy edge of the Cowlitz River. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and a large trash can. All campsite will have their own pathway to the river with seasoned blackberries to pick! I ask to help keep our environment as natural as possible pick up after yourselves and your furry friends. Also do not leave personal items on the beach overnight we need to leave a natural environment and we are not responsible for missing or lost belongings. As we all know about bodies of water and to be as safe as possible around or near them and I advise life jackets especially for the little guys. The campground has no life guards so swim at your own risk waiving all liability from Cowlitz River Sandy Edge campground. Each site are allowed 7 campers and 2 vehicles.... $5 charge per day guests and $5 per guest vehicle. Apply that cost to campsite booking please. Thank you Dry camping with self contained travel trailer only at River Run and River View Tent sites will have access to a porta potty with permanent bathroom in near future. Fishing, (w/your own lic.) kayaking, hiking and exploring. Leave what you find. Preserve as much as possible. Close to I-5 and is located adjacent to the quaint town of Castle Rock with everything less than a half mile away! Such as; coffee shops, donut bakery shop, Mexican restaurant, other great places to eat, Cascade grocery store, souvenir shops, farmers market on the weekends, motocross flat track racing usually on memorial weekend, and several different attractions at the Castle rock fair grounds. Mount Saint Helens only 30 minutes away! Sky diving, zip lining and big cheese festival in the town of Toledo next city northeast of Castle Rock. DIRECTIONS: If you're coming from South take I-5 North exit 49 make a left onto Huntington go over frwy bridge first right is Cowlitz View drive. If coming from the North take I-5 South exit 49 make a right onto Huntington then first right is Cowlitz View drive stay left and I'll meet you at the gate to escort you to your site.

NO BATHROOM ON SITE! Pull through driveway just steps away from the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and .5 miles from a sweet waterfall - hiking trails for days! Firepit, power (<30 amps) and potable water hose (must turn off/on water at street) all available. No bathrooms available, and must pack out all trash. NO FIRES DURING BURN BAN! This will be strictly enforced and you will be fined heavily. [NOTE: There is NO bathroom on site. You must have a self contained bathroom with you. Anyone found defecating in our yard will be charged $500.] This quiet and wooded neighborhood is tucked away in the High Valley neighborhood approximately 3 miles from town. Enjoy views of Butter Peak from the fire pit. We are located just 15 minutes from the Ohanapecosh entrance to Mt. Rainier, 25 minutes from White Pass Ski Area, or 3 minutes from the lovely Skate Creek Skate Park 2 mile loop trail. You will have neighbors, but it is quiet and peaceful, aside from the occasional golf cart drive-by. Come park with us for a day, or a week!
