 Welcome to "Circe," our charming retro Airstream trailer inspired by the enchanting character from Homer's Odyssey. Nestled at Monroe Bay's end, this wanderlust haven offers a unique glamping experience that combines vintage allure with modern comforts. Located within walking distance to James Monroe's Birthplace on the banks of Monroe Bay. The property features a Winery (limited hours) with acres of river and land to explore.

Vintage Charm: Step back in time with our beautifully restored 1970s Airstream, meticulously designed to capture the essence of a bygone era.
Comfortable Accommodation: Circe offers a cozy and well-appointed interior with a comfortable bed, seating area, and a compact kitchenette.

Guests can check in on their own with an access key. You can park in front of the end of the airstream in our parking area.  Colonial Beach is &lt;1 mile away to walk or take your car and explore. There is a kayak on the property you can launch and take down the Monroe Bay or bring your own SUP or boat.

Gratitude at the Mill Pond

In 1831 formerly Northern's Mill had an old mill house, dwelling house, outbuildings, mill pond and water courses with about 31 acres and was bought for an enormous amount of
$10.00!

At the working mill the owner's wife baked pies for the workers to enjoy
while they waited for their ground grains (most likely corn, soybeans and wheat).

The pond is also recognized as
Courtney Mill Pond and Kissinger Mill Pond.
 Fires in the 1980's have claimed the building creating a perfect place for you to enjoy nature outside.

Fresh and salt water surrounds a birding, fishing paradise with 5 acres to explore. Bald Eagles are a common siting. We offer a primitive camping experience in the heart of the Northern Neck.  The road is washed out and fresh water pond mostly drained.  You will access from Mundy Point Road. This historical site had a working Mill built in the early 1800's. Please check out my friend's place nearby at Callao Brewery and Rivah Vineyards at the Grove!  Grab some fresh local veggies from one of the Amish stands and don't forget your tackle and bait at RW's.

Camp 1 has the most room for car camping and groups close to the road and overlooking the pond.

Camp 2 is a short hike to a private knoll overlooking the grassy marsh of Mill Creek, this is tidal water that flows to the Potomac.

The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest

The Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips. 

Come visit the farm and experience agrotourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the windernes and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle pennensula.  

 

There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a primative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property. 

Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack. 

There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards available. 

4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

Site is along the left bank of this serene creek.

Serenity cove

Enjoy the natural serenity of this hideaway on the shores of the historic Antipoison Creek (so named by Capt John Smith), minutes to the Chesapeake Bay by boat or car. The area offers boating, fishing, and an abundance of wildlife (deer, turkeys, waterfowl, bald eagles, osprey. otters and more). Bring your boat and moor at our dock.

Property owners reside full-time on this property in a newly constructed home.

Historic "GREEN HILL" on the Nomini Creek

Land patented by Lt. Nicholas Spencer. A celebrity of his day. A merchant,  a secretary, a govonor and president of the first colony of Virginia. I take great care in this land and continuing to work on weekly. The number of sites are limited so each camper feels the total remoteness and beauty of this land. It insures the land stays pristine and wild.  With surrounding lands in conservation you are truly with nature when you arrive.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent on historic "GREEN HILL", in the Northern Neck, Westmoreland county founded in 1653.The highest elevation in Mt. Holly. Access to Nomini Creek, for fishing and bird watching. Many bald eagles! Paddle along the creek where George Washington, Robert E. Lee and many other historical figures once navigated. Canoes, jon boat and kayaks available. Land first patented 1650 then by Lt. Nicholas Spencer 1665, secretary and president of Jamestown in 1683 and later governor. The abundance of large mature trees and their canopy help keep the area cool even on the hottest days.  There are hiking trails available onsite and many more available at local parks/public grounds.  Located close to many vineyards,  breweries, restaurants, and historical landmarks such as George Washington's birthplace, Robert E. Lee's plantation and James Monroe birthplace. Also, a boat ramp is 5mins away to access the potomac river for fossil hunting and fishing! Upon booking, we can discuss private meals provided daily and/or cooked on site with options including local bluecrabs and fresh garden vegetables. Fire wood will be available for purchase, also generators will be available for rent. Upon booking rental ,can be given guest pass to local private community with 60ac. Fresh water lake,  sandy beach, and Olympic size swimming pool!
