We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks.

Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. Hiking, xc-skiing (bring your own) and The Vast (Snowmobile)trails are also nearby. We have amazing western views of the Adirondack mountains, and are 20 minutes from Middlebury, Vergennes; 1 hour from Burlington and Rutland and 45min from Middlebury Snowbowl Ski Area.

The perfect place to get away from the daily hustle. The cabin was well built and surprisingly insulated. The well-thought out design provided plenty of room. The location is far enough off the beaten path, but close enough to civilization to grab supplies if you needed to. The basic kitchen cooking utensils are provided. We will definitely be back. It was an absolutely enjoyable stay.

We loved staying at Darren's yurt. It was cozy and well-appointed. The picnic table, fire pit, fire wood, and maple syrup for sale on-site were also nice touches. Note, that the drive to the campsite from the road was quite treacherous, even with 4-wheel drive. We recommend for those with vehicles that are high off the ground. Darren was a wonderful, communicative, and helpful host!

This was a wonderful glamping site—privately tucked away from the road, extremely clean, and surprisingly free of bugs. All the supplies we needed were provided, making for a very comfortable stay. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend it!
The only minor downside was the sound of cars from the nearby Motorsport park, but it didn’t impact our enjoyment too much. Also, be aware that the road leading to the tent has a slight hill. Higher-clearance vehicles are best suited for it—our sedan struggled a bit and we were concerned about the undercarriage.

2 nights at Vermont Homestead
Before diving back into the grind, we snuck away for one last summer retreat—and the Studio delivered.
Secluded yet convenient: It felt like cabin camping, but with real home comforts (think hot showers and no hole-digging required). The Studio was 15 minutes from a supermarket, 5 minutes from a local market, and just 3 minutes from fresh eggs and frozen meat that made our mouths water.
Natural entertainment: We nibbled wild blackberries along the property trails, stepped into the barrel sauna for a sweat session with a hit of aromatherapy bliss (ahhh), and watched flames dance in the fire pit while stars twinkled overhead. Mornings came with surround-sound birdsong and a picture window framing trees doing their best shimmy show.
Hospitable hosts: Missing camping skills? No problem—the hosts had us covered. They shared spot-on local recommendations tailored to our interests and left thoughtful surprises (which we’ll let you discover for yourself).
This place definitely earned a spot on our repeat list.

Darren was the perfect host! Very responsive .The property is peaceful and private! The yurt is the perfect place for a Vermont getaway with Vermont decor and very spacious … My pup loved running free and the maple syrup made by Darren was delicious on blueberry pancakes made on the grill.I would highly recommend Darren’s yurt for anyone looking to escape into the woods for a relaxing getaway…

Weekend Trip to Tranquility Plateau
Everything about this site is well thought out and well appointed. Functionality, rugged yet simple and elegant. Hardscaping is very well done. Every square inch of the site is well maintained and attended to. Hot water showers and toilet along with stepping stones to and from facilities as well as raised cooking platform for cook stove were awesome. Tent itself was very well kept. I saw a heater inside and think we may extend our season there this fall. A highly recommended spot. Very private spot and tranquil indeed. Waterfall was dry as it was mid August.
