Golden Maple Farm - Camping

4 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents250 acres · Belvidere Center, VT
Nestled in the Green Mountains, we are an operating maple syrup farm. Our property is located on a well-maintained dead-end road. It is a beautiful, tranquil place that offers or is near to several activities. Whether you are coming from far away or just want to get out of the hustle and bustle, our place is a GREAT place to unplug. Campsites are located with a view of our beautiful rustic barn, a legacy apple orchard, mountains, and plenty of trees surrounding the area. Sunsets are a beautiful time of day, sitting by your campfire enjoying the peacefulness! Enjoy your smores under a starry sky and listen carefully—you may hear one of our owls! Camping as a group? We may be able to accomodate you! Rent 2 or more sites. Great place to come with your friends or family. ATV/UTV Trails Access ATV/UTV trails from your campsite. There are miles of trails to ride! HIKING Take a hike through our woods or access the thousands of acres adjacent to our property. You will see waterfalls, streams, birds, tracks from the wildlife, and beautiful views. Plenty of places to dip into the cool water when you need to cool off! Walk or drive down to either of 2 covered bridges and see the craftmanship that enables them to continue to be used today! Access the Long Trail at multiple locations within a few miles. BIKING Bike the back roads of the area—wooded areas, windy or flat terrain, beautiful views, plenty of spots to rest beside a flowing stream. Or, access the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (93+ miles of non-motorized riding/walking on a converted and maintained railway bed). FISHING/HUNTING In the mountains we have streams, brooks, and rivers. There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed. CANOE, KAYAK, TUBE Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains. MAPLE SYRUP/SUGARBUSH Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home! WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys! Glamping with Goats - Tent or Park

2 sites · Lodging, RVs1 acre · Essex Junction, VT
We live in this 1830's farmhouse and travel with our Airstream Basecamp 20X. Often boondocking, and knowing the need for an easy-access place to park our RV, whether it be for a night or a week, we decided to open our driveway to help our fellow RV-travelers explore both the Burlington, VT area and enjoy the great outdoor adventures the Green Mountain State has to offer. In the Fall of 2023, we added a glamping bell tent to our location as an additional option for Hipcampers. Learn more about this land: COMING OCTOBER 2023 - FAINTING GOATS AND FALL FOLIAGE GOAT YOGA.

Windswept Acres Campsite

1 site · RV, Tent55 acres · Chelsea, VT
Our property, Windswept Acres, has been a favorite destination for literally generations of visitors, whether staying in a room in the farmhouse, a bunk in the barn, or "glamping" in our Sugar House. One of those decades-long regulars asked several years ago whether they could locate their RV next to the road on a knoll overlooking our upper pond, and we told them "sure". They own a building company, and were good enough to bring a crew up to prepare the site. They laid pipes to one of our spring-fed wells for water, conduit for both electricity and phone, dug a dry well for grey-water, and moved onto the site for several years. After then they chose to move to a traditional structure further up the hill, and left behind a fully-equipped spot perfect for campers and RVs that we have offered to visiting family and guests!Easily accessible from a dirt road, your shaded site overlooks an acre pond. You are surrounded by lawns, open fields and hills with a small barn across the road from you. The pastures support horses, cattle, sheep and chickens in your neighborhood. The ponds are both great for fishing, and the large one for swimming and canoeing as well. There are trails through the woods and logging roads to be explored on foot or bike. A walk up to the top of the hill affords near-360-degree views.[Note for RV/trailer users: We are at the top of a 1.7 mile hill, of which more than a mile is dirt and the last half die or so is steep. We do NOT recommend pulling anything up this hill with front wheel drive vehicles, especially in wet conditions. If there is any question, be sure to message us for more info.][Note for GPS-reliers: some GPS devices try to send people up the back side of the hill, which is not an adequate road for any RV or even some cars. Your route should take you to Beacon Hill Road via VT route 110. it should NOT take you to Beacon Hill Road via Brook Road!]Guests are expected to observe full COVID-19 precautions. We cannot accept bookings from high-infection-rate areas at this time. When requesting to book our site, please tell me what county you're from so we can screen guests accordingly.Learn more about this land:Easily accessible from a dirt road, your shaded site overlooks an acre pond. Adirondack Magic

4 sites · RVs25 acres · Elizabethtown, NY
We are located in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks between Lake Champlain and Lake Placid. The area is legendary for a multitude of hiking trails, mountain biking, and lakes/rivers for paddling. There are amazing natural environments such as Ausable Chasm and it's also an area rich in American historical sites. We are centrally located making area events and popular destinations an easy drive. We are also close to Rt 87 for ease of access yet far enough away to enjoy plenty of quiet and space in nature. The 2 RV site areas are very large with ample space for large RV turnaround and parking for vehicle. We are 300 feet off a road and are surrounded by small hamlets and villages within the park. There is so much to do in this vacation wonderland. Enjoy local breweries and vineyards during your visit. In addition, most every drive is a scenic drive and traffic is almost nonexistent except in some areas during high tourism. You will love it here! We do! The Adirondack Park (ADK) consists of old growth forests that cover more than 100,000 acres of public land in the Park and we live in the park. The Adirondacks also includes the headwaters of five major drainage basins. Lake Champlain and the Hudson, Black, St. Lawrence and Mohawk Rivers all draw water from the Adirondack Park. Adirondack forests and wetlands filter and provide clean water for many communities in NY.

Little Sister's Campsite

3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents25 acres · Newport, VT
As private as private gets but only 6 miles to Newport Vt. There is a creek and a one acre pond (20 feet deep). It is all mixed hard and softwoods. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. For more info call 863220 5881 Excellent drinking water is available from the hose at our house. Fires are allowed and we supply the firewood at no extra charge.
