Weekend Trip to Mike's Place on the "Boulder"

The place was beautiful, and Mike was a great guy! He let us pick any place we wanted. The drive from the main road was a little rough so it took a while to get to, so we stayed put till checkout, but the place was worth it.

Explore the stunning rock formations and steep cliff sides that lead into seasonal river beds. You'll be surrounded by juniper trees, pine trees, sagebrush and cactus. With numerous rivers and secluded access to Starvation Reservoir you can enjoy many recreational activities such as Fishing, Boating, Kayaking, Jet Skiing, ATV off-roading, hiking, mountain biking. You can rent Paddle boards or other camping gear/goods from us for an extra fee. We also offer a personal off roading tour for those who seek a unique adventure with our Sand Dune Jeep Safari. Our family of 6 took the leap and left the city life in order to reconnect to the land on this 11 acre property. We are in the beginnings of our homestead journey and hope to create a space for guests like you to enjoy our animal rescue, camp retreats for groups, classes on herbalism and camp for kids where they can learn basic survival skills. It is this love for nature and the gifts that it offers to us all that we want to share our land with others. We currently offer 1 Tent Site with a fire pit and an outhouse. There is also a large flat pad for parking an RV or if you're wanting to camp out of your vehicle you are free to use this space. We will be expanding and offering more sites in the coming months. This is wilderness camping so be aware that there is wildlife and that roads are bumpy. We have 4 curious dogs that may check you out, they are friendly however may bark and if you have pets of your own let us know so we can keep them from pestering you. This is a very natural place with awesome rock formations, abundant wildlife etc. I did find an ancient axe head years ago in one of the crevices. Up above camp is a rock formation I have always called "Mike Rushmore". Learn more about this land: This is a really cool place and I get a lot of compliments from those that have been here or have seen it. It's a hikers paradise with lots of rock features, sandy areas, tons of trees, wildlife and all the beautiful plant life of a high desert. The lake is close by for Fishing, kayaking, boating, or just a good ole swim about 10 minutes away. So, here is what you get on my 15 acres. Me, as your host to show you around and let you pick from several spots available where you would like to camp on the upper 5 acres for RV, truck, tent,, etc. I can accomidate whatever. For those that want the natural experience I suggest down below. So cool. There is no one right next to me to the north, south, east, or west. Very private. It is off grid.. However, potable water and generator can be available if needed for and extra fee. This place is absolutely amazing. Your host: Mike It's my place so I can do what I want.
