This dynamic college town is also a rural oasis for RVers exploring southeast Texas.
The sprawling Texas A&M University is College Station’s claim to fame, but beyond the buzzing student bars and cluster of monuments and museums, this quaint Texas town also has a wealth of natural wonders on its shortlist. RV campers won’t need to look far to find a park, lake, or campground—RV parks and resorts pepper the city limits, some within walking distance of downtown, and many with full hookups, cable TV, and a swimming pool. Just outside the city, check into an RV campground along the Brazos River, a scenic setting for kayaking and boating, or explore the hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails of Lake Somerville State Park, where the RV sites have 30-amp or 50-amp and water hookups. If hooking a largemouth bass or crappie is your goal, Lake Bryan is another popular spot, and the lakefront campground is located right next to the boat launch.
