There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well as a fourth home that is for the property managers. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the Lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log Cabin, offers individual bedrooms. The third home is the Cottage. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you! Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place. Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors At each home you may read a special book called A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. The location was clean, organized and inviting. There was plenty for my kids to do; a swing and hammocks near our camper kept them occupied. The cats on the site gave my fiancé the animal fix she was craving, and all the connections for my camper were available. I like to have a bonfire when I’m camping, not just for the sake of a fire, but I also use it for cooking. Despite the site not having a fire ring, they were gracious enough to move a metal fire pit over so I could have a fire. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to camp!

Very beautiful land. It was nice and clean, very level so easy for whatever type of camping you want to do. I was the only one there but they seemed well spaced out. Great views and the host is very accommodating and kind if you would like to meet them. I enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

If you're okay with it being a little outside of town, this is a great place. Very quiet, clean and a very pretty open view. A gorgeous creek flowing and a very well built bridge to get into the campground. Lots of deer. All around we were impressed. Would be nice to have wifi but it definitely wasn't a deal breaker for us. Though trash needs to be picked up a little more often. Would definitely recommend to others.

The property is beautiful. Had a great time and am very thankful for all of the helpful amenities included (clean port-a-potty, communal barn, picnic tables, etc.). There was a dog and a cat who visited us a few times throughout our stay, both very affectionate and sweet. Overall a 10/10 experience.

This place was great! Lots of little details that showed they put thought into what their guests would want. Plenty of hooks in the shower, and it was stocked with body wash and shampoo. Solar lights in the toilet and shower stall. A dishwashing station with soap provided.

Grant and his wife were wonderful hosts and offer several amenities that my girlfriend and I both said we’ll be back to enjoy someday. The glamp tent setup is truly breathtaking a great in between roughing it and glamorous camping. Grant took the time to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. For people thinking about this trip, I would say be sure to bring some steaks and charcoal to put on the rocket grill! It’s a really cool piece and cooks a steak to perfection. Other than that, flashlights are a plus as it gets dark early in the winter and there isn’t much lighting outside of the tent. Don’t forget to bring something fun to do around the campfire too since there’s a really cool Rock pit a couple steps outside the tent. S’mores, music, campfire songs, and games. You’ll want to find ways to be outside the tent if you’re like us. Speaking of, there are so many cool things to do outside of the camp! Grant gave us several awesome destinations to visit before we left and we got to each of them! All exceeded our expectations. From food, to sites, to sounds! I’d encourage everyone to explore Tracy city, Monteagle, and even Nashville is only an hour and a half away!

I had a wonderful time camping in my truck bed camper. Billy’s land… you’ve really got to see it to believe it. I arrived after dark so I wasn’t too sure if I had the best spot or not. When I woke up the next morning I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. It was beautiful. The rock formations… the pictures are gorgeous but the in person view… just wow. I felt like I had the whole mountain to myself. My dog got to be free and lead the way on our adventures which he absolutely loved. I 10/10 would recommend and I definitely plan to visit again. Thank you Billy. Your place is wonderful, and full of wonder.

Peaceful Hills Retreat is exactly that. Peaceful. I loved everything about this place. I was the only one camping there this late in the year. I walked the whole property, used the hiking trail. Peaceful and beautiful. Tons of sites. Some seemed kinda close but still offered privacy. Small sites, large group sites, she has it all.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was incredible!! Jennifer left us incredible directions on how to get there avoiding dirt roads and also had wonderful directions on how to find fresh spring water to fill up our jugs. Loved everything about our stay!
