Even if there were other people, the spaces are really well spread out and offer a sense of privacy.

Had a great time tent camping at River Island Adventure! My dog and I were greeted and shown to our site by Jeff and his staff. The toilets and showers are a nice option at the outpost. Looking forward to when paddle board weather comes back to visit again and take advantage of the river access!

Jeff’s place is a treasure. South Carolina is lucky to have it! The campsites are immaculate, their shared space is beautiful and so thoughtfully created; we enjoyed the showers and outdoor kitchen. On-site staff are a joy to be around and the landscape is zen paradise. Right by the river, tucked in the woods, 15 minutes from the beach; this is the place to be. We feel lucky to have experienced the magic!

Dude was very nice super sociable. Super laid back place. Chill fire spots and what not. Beautiful nature for the most part. Nice creeks. I just really liked the atmosphere and the fact that there were showers, toilets, microwave, multiple grills. A communal fridge.
All of that made it super pleasant and felt very over the top friendly which I love. Great place. Nice people

1st time camping here and it was wonderful. Staff is extremely attentive and nice. Very laid back and unstressful which is really what your looking for on a weekend getaway to recharge from the day to day. The glamping tent we booked was extremely clean and comfortable overlooking the river making it very tranquil. If you bring children, the site has a myriad of events and activities to keep them busy and having fun. The whole facility is extremely well kept and a lot of thought and effort was put in to create the appropriate holiday theme of the season (we were there late Oct and it looked fabulous). We are definitely going to book another stay there especially with all the warm weather activities they have like kayaking and tubing. We might consider one of thier more excluded camping sites that they offer. Very much recommend checking it out whether old or young.

Cute little RV in a secluded little lot. It had all the basics and Monte had the AC going and it was cool when we arrived! Had a good signal on all our phones. All the time! Was a great experience to be so close to nature and also not far of a drive to go sightseeing!!

Weekend Trip to The Black River Xscape
My husband and I have stayed at many Hipcamp places and air b n b’s and this was by far, our favorite!! The spot is very private, river front, big yard with a grill and smoker, tables, lounge chairs! Fully fenced and very secure! If you want to bring a pet it’s great! ! A deck that is right off the river! The view from the bedroom is the river! The cat fishing was amazing! They were bitting! You can fish off the deck!! The view of the river is beautiful! The rv is huge, nicely decorated, and sleeps a lot! It’s super nice! It has two cute lofts for kids!! It was stocked with all the amenities!! Monee the host was the best host! She answers right away, gives detailed instructions! She is super sweet! It was also thirty mins from Pawley’s island beach!! Beautiful beach! Myrtle beach and Charleston are about an hour away! So much to do at this location!! We plan to stay here longer, very soon!!

We stayed at Laurel Oaks in our motor home and had a beautiful site (Site1). They have 2 sites with plenty of space in between with concrete pads, fire pit and chairs. The property is beautifully maintained and the host was wonderful. If you’re looking for crazy crowds and like to be jammed next to your neighbors, this is not for you. If you want to be close enough to the beach without all of the hassle, I would recommend Laurel Oaks. We will definitely be back. P.S. …. You can also order farm fresh eggs 😊

What a wonderful secluded spot to camp. We throughly enjoyed our time there for the 4th of July. It was very beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle beach but close enough to go enjoy the day. They were very accommodating and let the kids pet the horses and chickens. We got to ride our bikes around the trails and pond that they have with kayaksto use if we wanted to. I would recommend and will be back.

I loved RV camping at Laurel Oaks! We were meeting friends for the first time and it was the perfect spot. Secluded, calm, peaceful, with the added security of a gate that only we knew the code to. This location was close to everything that Myrtle Beach had to offer but far enough away to relax! We will definitely be staying here again!!!

I fell in love with this property. My family and I had a good quality time there. The hosts were very friendly, and their communication was very positive. When you enter the property, you can feel they care about their business, also, the campsite is in excellent condition. I even bought farm eggs from them! This was one of the best campsites I've stayed at, and it was a blessing to my family, especially my young kid.
